AC Infinity is a very good quality brand, and I can tell their products are designed by people who use them. You are correct the combination kits can be a good deal. You may want to insure that it has their newest light. Their new lights are much improved since last year. Their shipping cost is a little high for somewhat slow shipping is my only complaint with them. I don’t like Amazon so never compared shipping there as opposed to ordering directly from AC Infinity. You won’t go wrong with with an AC Infinity kit.
No need to apologize for your questions!

this seems to be the light listed on the kit

I think this is the newest light for a 3x3. You may want to call them directly and ask for this upgrade, and a discount.

In my opinion, you will want more light if you intend to take it through flower and fill the tent.

I agree. Their kits are a little short on lighting, but 300 watts is better than 260. For one just getting started one these kits would work, and pay for itself in a couple grows. That AC Infinity tent with the controller and other accessories with two HLG 350Rs would be a very sweet setup.

I run the AC Infinity 4x2 kit and 3x3 kit. I would love to have a better light like everybody else but you won’t be disappointed.

These are a few of my runs in the last year with AC Infinity.

they refused

Well at least you tried. I still think for the price point it is still a very good deal. They also offer some inexpensive side lighting that will be a help in the future. I have used T5s for side lights with good results also. I have only seen AC Infinity run a couple 10% off sales, not sure if you are willing to wait for 10% off.

Go with hlg light, and gorilla tent. Buy the fans and stuff separately. Shop around. eBay, Craigslist, etc. I actually use a sunhut tent that I bout a few years ago, but if I get another it will be gorilla. I use an hlg 350r in a 2x4. Works great.

@Dexterado that sounds like a perfect setup.

I was torn between the 5x5 Gorilla and the 5x5 AC Infinity. The Gorilla with the extension was a couple inches too high for my basement. So I ordered the AC Infinity when it was on sale, (this helped cover the shipping). I was blown away by the heavy duty quality, and how easy assembly was compared my smaller tents. You don’t need any flanges for the many duct openings. The controller mount, and cable opening are very cool.
I am a little ashamed to admit this, but I used to think AC Infinity was a cheap Amazon company. Guess it was the name. After reading about them here my opinion changed. But even when I ordered the 5x5 tent, my expectations were not very high for a two hundred dollar tent. But boy was I pleasantly surprised with the tent. Now I am a loyal customer.

Just saw this at growgreenmi if anyone felt oldschool…

Yes, it appears that LEDs have made old school lighting dirt cheap. It is a good time to pick up some T5s or HIDs. Another thing that I like about my 2 and 4 tube T5s is that you can change the spectrum with a different tube.
