Just trying to figure out which of these lights is better. I’m currently setting up a 4×8 grow tent and will need 2 lights and I can’t decide between these 2 lights.
I’d go with the Evo 6 it’s the latest and greatest AC Infinity makes very quality products not that the other light is a bad product I just would pick the AC Infinity the medic grow is a good light as well they will both do a good job
I was thinking the same but I like that the medic grow has the veg/flower button. I like that idea. But how important is that really?
Yeah I should be getting the CLOUDLINE T8, QUIET INLINE DUCT FAN/Carbon Filter SYSTEM With Smart Controller I’m so excited.
Definitely I would be excited too get a nice new setup going congrats
Thank you.
So how much of a difference do you think having the button to switch from veg to bloom make?
I don’t think that veg bloom button really has any benefit just turns on a little extra light for flower and basically all you have to do with the evo is turn it up on the dimmer the medic grow maybe a little cheaper if you’re buying too you could also look at hlg’s refurbished page they’ve got some banging deals and if you’re not in a super big rush they’ll probably be having a 25% off sale for the holiday coming up
I would go with AC infinity light for sure.
I have a friend who just harvested her 1st crop from an ac infinity light (not sure the model) and she had great success.
AC infinity has great customer service, in the case that anything does go wrong.
Example: I had minor pin holes in my tent that I could have lived with (patch here and there) but the zipper on one of my 2 AC Infinity tents kept jamming. I called the company, and with no hassle, they sent a new skin for it within the week.
The other light might be fine, and from a fine company, but I can personally speak for the AC Infinity product and I think they can’t be beat for their balance between quality and affordability.
As for bloom/veg switch… imo this is a gimmick that has little effect, and is designed to suck in customers as if it’s a good added feature.
I base this theory on nothing more than my growing cynicism about the marketing practices of so many of these grow light companies, and I am in no way basing this on any kind of actual facts or real evidence
Thank you I probably will go with the evo6. It is less wattage though and that’s kinda making a little harder to decide.
I was just looking at the newer migro 4x4 light does anyone know anything about these lights? There are considerably cheaper than what I’ve been thinking of but I see nothing but 5 star reviews. I just want to get the best light possible within my budget. If the evo6 and the medicgrow smart 8 are better then I’ll probably decide between those two.
I don’t remember if you mentioned the budget, but I would definitely check out hlg site and see what refurbished boards they have available.
Full warranty and proven quality and results with growing plants
This was available yesterday…
I have this light, and it’s great
Yep those lights are great for the money I had four of them once I got the 650r I sold to but they are terrific I’m HLG all ther quality and customer service is unmatched as far as the lights migro I’ve watched a lot of his testing videos and he uses some fairly old diodes if you’re looking for a budget Apache tech has some pretty nice new bar style lights on the cheaper side you can see the work they do on green geans garden on YouTube he is running apache tech and testing for them
Would you say that HLG light is better than the bar lights I mentioned in my first post?
Yes I would
I was thinking about a refurbished hlg but figured the bar style was better for evenly distributing light and heat. I think I might go this route. Thank you bot for your help.
One more thing. I noticed that the HLG lights usually come in red spec or blue spec so wouldn’t it I need both 1 for veg and 1 for flowering? If so that can get expensive because I’ll need 4 lights instead of 2.
Red light can do it all…
And good luck
Thank you.
