Any thoughts on these lights

I’m looking for a little more power and I’m leaning towards spider farmer. I have no plans on a bigger tent, currently have the Vivosun 3x3. And the next size up for AC Infinity light is too big.
I have the Vivosun vs1000 now and looking for just a slightly larger dimension size light.

The Vivosun is 14x14 inches and 150 watt

The spider farmer is 16x16 inches and 200 watt

The spider is better suited for a 2x2 based on footprint and the vivosun has about the same coverage.

If I had to choose between these 2 I’d go with spider.

Do you have a budget? What are your goals?

No budget restrictions, goal is better light better buds. My main concern is heat from the light, the AC Infinity was way too hot and my tent temp shot up to almost 90 degrees with the tent door open at 50% light dimmed.

My buds on this last grow were the dense’s yet of my 3 grows so I must be on the right track

Thank you :+1:

Which ac infinity? This particular light would fit like a glove, and the driver can sit outside the tent.

$370 but there is a coupon right now for $60 off that. So $310

There are more options/higher end brands out there. Just depends what you want to spend.

This following thread is a little outdated but there are some ideas. You can ignore the prices, as those were relevant at the time of making the thread.

It was the ionboard s33 and yes I was curious about those types of bar lights

That seems like a good light. Are you using 6” duct fan for the exhaust?

Bar fixtures generally run cooler and a lot of them have the options to run the driver outside the tent which can save on temps.

Thank you I will take a look at that light and read the info you shared

Only a 4 inch carbon filter exhaust that came with the tent kit

If you still have the ac infinity id consider trying that out, and buying an 6” ac infinity duct fan. (I recommend AC because they are quieter than most competitors) Passive flow, so some 6” ducting going in around the bottom and the single 6” fan exhausting out of the top. Regardless of whether or not you stick with that light upgrading the fan will serve you well and make it easier to control temps. These temps will also be dependent on the ambient temps outside the tent. Lighting that space appropriately will inevitably raise the heat above temps outside the area.

I would second the Mars Hydro FC-E4800. Bar lights are great, And finding one with the same footprint as the tent will give nice even coverage.
Or perhaps even the 4800 EVO.

My bad I apologize I told you the wrong light I had tried out.
It was the Vivosun vs3000 not the AC Infinity
And I returned it.
But thank you for the info I appreciate it.

I have the VIPARSPECTRA KS3000 LED Grow Light 320 watt with Samsung LM301H Diodes in my AC Infinity 3x3 tent. Fits perfectly inside and has the absolutely best edge to edge uniformity of the light output. I love mine.

I’m happy with what I have now, I got 5 once’s off my Afghan auto last year.
I just want to bump my light up a notch. Currently I just did a final chop on my sour diesel auto and it did well except I broke a branch off doing LST early in and never fixed it so I think I’ll be below the 5 ounce mark.

I’m just afraid of too much heat from the light and having to add more circulation to compensate for it. My tent is around 5 feet tall so I’m tight for space in that area.

I appreciate all advice and info from all thank you. I have a lot to consider in my next grow next winter. I’m still leaning towards one of the 2 original lights I mentioned.

Party on and happy new year

Game night. I never leave home on holidays here. Everyone carries and moron+alchohol+ firearms is a bad combo. Especially when 1 side does not drink but also carries concealed.
