I put a lot of time into this. The idea behind it was to provide EVEN coverage across the board for the size tent I categorized them in. Utilizing a single light. A lot of them will be able to be dimmed in these spaces leaving you room to move up a size if you decide. With a couple exceptions. Or just maximize your potential in the space you have available. These are just choices I’d likely make based on the tent I’d be using, and what I might want to spend at the time. This is more about info to help with your decisions, not necessarily the category I put them in. Numbers will be higher in an actual tent than what I listed because of reflective walls. However, this should give you an idea. Numbers pulled from manufactures and 3rd party testing. Numbers have been based on total output provided by manufacturers. Calculated into usable output. So if you look up total output you will see it’s higher. This is calculated by watts and total ppf efficacy (umol/joule) or total ppf (umol/s) HLG does a great job at sharing their lab reports so it was easy to do them. Had to really dig on others. I did my best to make this accurate! I’ve excluded some common lights do to current availability, or lack of info provided. tried to list current retail prices, not sale prices. I cannot guarantee sales at the time you are reading this. Hopefully some of you find this valuable.

Thank you! That’s a great light. The only reason I implemented the smaller size option in the chart was to avoid drop off around the edges and corners. Having an even spread and the ability to run light intensity lower.
This is hard to find info on, and I find different info depending on where I look. However it should be using the qb288 v2. So I was able to base this numbers off of similar fixtures. Best I can do, they don’t really give detail on the light. They call it a “custom quantum board”
I’m happy with it so far.
First grow was 3 white widow autos and 2 purple haze photos and bagged a total of 23 oz.
Only had maybe 75 percent of the tent filled.
That’s awesome buddy. I’d definitely run that light!
I failed to mention…
Nearly all the lights in the original post in the last bracket. The 1000’s and 800’s can be utilized in a 4x4/5x5, most of which recommend c02 for full power or you can dim. I added them into the 5x5/6x6 for use without c02 and should be able to handle full power. Keyword Should. At what distance? No idea, yet!
Thanks @Low ! Yeah, HLG doesn’t have much info on it. And my smartphone doesn’t have an ambient light sensor, lol. When I bought the 150 Patriot, I asked about PPFD, and the reply from their tech was that the Patriot can reach about 1200 ppfd at 12".
The 150watt HLG light is much brighter than my “Amazon” 150watt light, which claims to have a higher PPFD than 1200, but ya know, that’s the same ol’ “Amazon light facts n’ figures” story.
No Problem! I looked at the 135W QB® V2 Rspec® LED Kit from HLG and I’m pretty sure that uses the same board. Interesting it says 135 but it says it’s “dimmable” up to 150 watts.
