I hope you are keeping the duct fan and filter outside of the tent waste of space when mounted inside.
I have the carbon filter inside at the top of the tent, and only a clip on circulating fan on the inside. I will look at setting up the carbon filter on the outside to give me more room for the light. I will also look for an inline exhaust fan for the bottom tent port. The AC infinity exhaust fans look really good and I think I need a new fan motor for the carbon filter too as it’s making a high pitch sound. Also thinking ac infinity for that too.
This is what a have now minus a the seedling
@Low
I run 2 of the vivosun 150 watt panels in a 31x31 x 63 tent. I use the ones with the fans in the light. slightly offset I get a very even light reading until about 20 inches from the light then the pattern looks like 2 lights. I run 2 plants at a time but they are culled down from 4 popped seeds so a bad seed or a lazy plant will not ruin my grow. A lot of guys think this is a waste but seed are cheap compared to getting stuck with 2 plants at different ages.
One of the easiest modifications I made and I recommend it for all tent folks os move the duct fan and filter outside, preferably on top.
this gives you much more verticle space and you are going to need it. that tent will support just over 100 lbs ( from the manufacturer ) Makes the interior much cleaner
when the lights are up higher and ran hotter the pattern is very level.
So the inside tent air is then pushed out through the carbon filter instead of sucked in by it and out the tent.
Does that reduce the efficiency of the filter
Way mine have been going for 2 grows now, yes you get a wiff now and again but not bad IMHO carbon does have a end, but can be reused/reactivated!
the reduction in air ■■■■ ve push / pull systems is minimal. There are websites where you can find the values of resistance for spiral wrap vrs pvc and even how much a 45 or 90 degree robs airflow. There are various formulas based on the size of the tent for air extraction but on setting 3 all the time I move 15000 cubic feet of air a week, more than what is needed.
If you look at the bottom of the tent there is a 4 inch black duct hose going outside through a sealed port and an insect screen. It terminates between all 3 plants and this sucks in all the time. Air goes in the bottom from the vent and an ACi heater box. The ACi box has a built in filter. air goes in bottom both vent room and heat box at bottom and pulled out the top.
I run the vivosun app for the lights and the duct fan and clip on sweep fan. I use the ACi controller for the heater box and the humidifier. Both apps show the exact same data ( for a while ) although the vivosun marches up and down and the ACI skitters around but the averages are exact.
I had to get the heater box due to variable basement temps. even in winter we can have a 55 degree day. when it gets very cold the basement humidity plummets to 30%. It does make the enviroment so much more easy to dial in but the aci stuff doubled the tent and the extra light for costs.
Thanks for the explanation sounds like a solid setup
Not at all. The filter will be located in a lower humidity enviroment that will not harm life or effectiveness. In seedling and early veg the throughout at 80% does dampen up the fabric of the sleeve you put on the filter. In addition carful as ai was when I first installed it inside the carbon came out a little and made a mess. No room hunched over bad back trying to support 25lbs of filter and blower was causing a bit of rage so I walked away and surfed until I found multiple folks already have done it.
