Well everyone recovered from the LST and now have 3 in flower and they are all the GDP, the two 3 Gal flipped about 4 days ago and the 5 gal flipped to flower today. The 7 gal is still catching up in size. 5 gal still looks the best and had the best recovery after LST.
All the girls are looking good. After the top dressing the 5 gal started suffering from a little Iron deficiency. I know ot was from the top dressing. I mad a couple of adjusting on the next feed to get it under control. Doesn’t seem to have gotten any worse so I feel I got it in time. But now that the 7 gal has entered it’s second week of flowering, it’s starting to really take off. Looks super healthy, gaining a nice structure. It’s the on on the center of the tent. The other 7 gal Strawberry Banana is also looking good and is in preflower. To the left of it.
I remember now why last year I said I wouldn’t do different pot sizes for my annual auto run. It’s annoying when flower stage comes around, the fabric pots dry at different rates. 3 gal every 2-3 days 5 gal sporadic and 7 gal every 4-5 days. Seems like I’m watering something everyday.
I am so glad I moved on to Coco. Yes I have to water every day, But thats a 5 minute job to water 4 plants (Just 2 sometimes) and then go on with life.
Your garden is looking great. Harvest day will be here before you know it.
So I had to take 2 of the 3-gal out the Gorilla Cookies and the Dutch passion. The 2 plants I have in the 7 gal finally woke up, they are on the first week of stretch for the strawberry banana and the second for the GDP. I did a second LST for each. to keep the height even. If you recall the first lst took place in week 3 of veg and I normally do that with the clips or barrettes as I like to call them, I mean seriously the plants are female and we are shaping their hair! Then once the stretch phase begins week 1-2 I tie down instead of adjusting clips.
This helps to stabilize the limbs for heavier buds, unfortunately this does not work with photoperiod, I have no clue why. Bud with autos itncan support a 100 gram plus bud. I assume because the stalk of an auto develops quicker than a photo. But I’m just guessing there.
But to recap first to flower were the 3-gal gdp, then the 5-gal gdp 2 weeks later then the 7-gal a week and a half later. The 3- gal look ok but I can tell they will not be big producers, the 5 gal I thew off the nutrient balance when I top dressed but she is recovering. She actually looked the best going into flower until I made that error. But she is rebounding. Now the two plants I have in the 7 gal containers went into super mode. The GDP has been in flower for 2 and a half weeks and is almost done stretching but the Strawberry Banana has been in flower for a week and it doubled in size so I felt it best to tue down both 7 gal plants to the height of everything else yesterday and today once again they both grew taller. once the buds refocused upwards so I had to put 2 plants in the other tent because they are getting a little big!
This is an autogrow in homemade super soil and only watered with ph’ed tap water. I will add in Big bud, and bud candy starting this week through week 4 and then finish with Bud candy and overdrive up to week 8 since both strains are 9-10 weekers then I will flush with Flawless finish twice between weeks 8-10. I never flushed before my last harvest even doing organic grows But I must admit, I am enjoying the smoke these days, last batch all were smooth flavor with white ash. If the same thing happens thos grow, I will be a believer in flushing. I also thought why waste the effort because I’m growing organic but was challenged to try it anyways and was told I would notice the difference and so far I agree with them. Here’s to experimenting!
I flush with Flawless finish, as it still has some trace nutes along with the flushing agent. Overdrive is a booster that they suggest to use weeks 5-7 as a bud booster.
Ever have that 1 plant that never prays and and looks like a shaggy dog. I’ve been waiting for something catastrophic to happen, because the leaves are always down. Not once even in veg did I see these leaves fold upwards towards the light. But she is healthy. The strain is Gorilla Cookies
Great plant! I currently run 1 photoperiod plant in 1gl… from your experiment when is best to flip for this small pot size in term of efficiency growing?
The grow shown was from 3 years ago so I really don’t remember time frames but if they are healthy and 1 1/2’ or2’ tall is what I remember flipping them. I grow organically so feeding was top dressing dry amendments and using aerated compost teas etc.
Got to a point had to water everyday due to them drinking AND to weigh the pot down to hold them up.
Sorry I can’t be more specific as I had 2 tents plus a closet growing at that time and had stopped writing things down on paper.
Good luck with your grow I’m sure it will work just fine.
I deleted the other post, I was wrong she is not flipping to flower. To the contrary, she’s continually vegging out. So I tied her down more and will give her till Sunday. After that I will filp her to a 12/12 cycle if she’s an auto she won’t do anything, but if she’s a photo i will know in a week or so.
I am 67 days out from seedling stage and I started everything at the same time. For flower stage I’m at o-weeks to 5-weeks. All are looking good, the only issue is temp. So the bad will have to suffer because I’m gonna take care of the good. At night I get my temps in the lower 60s so the one that hasn’t flipped yet will probably struggle a little, but it seems to not really care and it thriving.
So I guess I’m at all stages of flower. This is the only reason I hate growing so many autos at once.So next time I will just do two autos and 4 photoperiods. But I have soo many auto seeds. Lol dam buy 10 deal…
