1st grow going with Autoflowers

If i may ask a few questions…
Is a 7 gallon cloth pot too big for autos?
Tent is AC Infinity 4x8. Plan to use either right in the middle if configurable or on one side.
I know i shouldn’t mix auto with photos because of height correct? My concern is keeping all my plants the same distance from the light ( HLG Diablo 650watts).
Should i plant 4 pots, 5 or 6? Worried 6 might not get enough light from the HLG 650 Diablo.
And finally,
Light height for my grow?
I am sure i will have tons of questions as they progress and thank you for you advice in advance.
Mahalo,
Ann.

you should be fine with the 7gal pots. I use 5 and 3 gal for autos

Awesome.
I will probably buy some 5 gallon fabric pots and save the 7 gallons for the photos on the next grow.
I used I♡GM for my seed bank. Super fast shipping as I got them here in Hawaii in 3 days.

I just harvested some autos (3’ and 4’) that where taller than my feminized photos. I have grown both at the same time in the same tent 2autos and 2 feminize photos

Wow, thats good to know. I figured the autos would be 2 or 3 ft and other 4 or 5 feet. Thanks for that info.

Some can It all depends on how you train them. I just top or fim mine and tie the branch’s down for more light and air flow

Just finished setting up. Hooking fans into the controller. 6" exhaust really sucks. LoL
Love the extra room to expand when needed.

I hope to give you some friendly advice about pot size. Anything over 3g pots you can start adding and extra week or so on for every gallon over 3g… i grew in a 10g and it extended/prolonged my grow by almost 4 weeks and made it a total of 120 days before harvest so bigger is not always better unless your growing outside… i now learned i can get the same yield off of a 3g pot on 90 days as i can a 10g in 120 days… just my opinion. I won’t use anything over 5g again

I always run in 5 gall pots. I mix my soil. I use FFSF in the bottom mixed with perlite, then FFOF in the middle, then FFHF on the top. By doing it this way I really don’t need to mess with alot of nutes. The FFHF is good so it won’t burn your seedlings. Once they are in veg the roots are into FFOF which has the nitrogen she’ll need and when she’s into flower, she’ll be into FFSF which is high in flowering nute. I use molasses water every other watering and typically only use Jacks bloom boost after they are a few weeks into flower. Keep your watering to a minimum. They are pretty durable and you’ll need those dry times to get her root system to spread. I typically like to wait til the fan leave start to droop a little before I water.

You can do autos and photos together and as for height difference that really doesnt come into it ,it is a bit of a problem running both at the same time and that is if ur going to flower ur photos at the same time as ur autos you will have to put ur autos on a 12/12 cycle thats the only problem that you may have im running a photo and auto now and its going great .And using a seven gallon fabric pot for a auto is fine most people use five gallon fabric pots but a seven gallon will be great , i would suggest using those square jiffy pots fill with soil plant ur seed then plant that jiffy pot into ur seven gallon fabric pot the Auto will grow nicely the roots will come through the jiffy pot and ur auto wont get stunted and it should grow big this is the way i do it and my auto is about 4.5 feet tall maybe five feet tall .i hope this helps you decide on what ur going to do

You will have fun with them there are some training that i do which doesnt stress out the plant to much one is fimming u may want to watch some videos on how to do it this training method will produce up to 8 new branches it may produce only four or six but its more than what u get when you top a auto and the second one is lst training get ur self some lst training clips there fairly cheap and there easy to use again watch some videos on this training method the more you watch the better knowledge u will have and less is more with autos they dont like alot of fertilizer unlike a photoperiod plant .Now are you going organic with dry amendments or are u going to use jacks products or fox farm products the same only reason I ask is if you are going to use organics i do have a good recipe for a super soil mix plus i have recipes for nutrient teas and banana teas for ur plants if you have any questions please dont hesitate to ask me or other members we are all here to help each other

When I was growing in soil that’s what I would do and call it done. Good luck in your grow.

Agreed.
I have sooo many new things to learn, do and buy that i need to keep it simple on my 1st grow. It is exciting and fun to look forward and think of all my choices for consumption. Oil, tincture, butter and baked good. Vape, pipe, paper etc… add that to having 8 or 9 strains in mason jars and… Decisions decisions. Cant wait ! Woohoo.

The biggest problems new growers face is over watering (ask me how I know). You may want to start with 1 plant and see how it goes and learn from that, what you did wrong or right. Also keep a journal so when something happens you can see what went wrong. Either lighting, nutes, temp. I like the KISS approach.
