2 weeks autoflowers

So today is the 2 week mark for my autoflowers. 2 are looking absolutely beatiful in my opinion ans growing rapidly, as for the other 2 i am having some iasues. Mainly on one of them i am suspecting nutrient lockout, dark green with hints of deficienies, and as for the other one its just seems overwatered but all i did was a flush since ppm was 1700, its at least not showong many deficienies if any, i have some questions

Setup
2 gallon happy frog and ocean forest mix
White widow autos
Watering till runoff

Questions

  1. Should i foliar feed my suspected locked out plant until it recovers? Its runoff was 3500 ppm before a flush,And if i do should i turn off lights for an hour till its absorbed in the leaves? Its the plant marked 4.
  2. What can i do with the smaller warped green plant. Some of the leaves are warped but dosent seem like nitrogen toxicity just a skinny plant? What should i do to improve growth with that plant? Its the plant marked 3
Suprisingly the 2 plants doing the best i havent done watering till runoff just yet.
3.how long should my 3 and 4 plants take to recover? Thanks you so much everyone community is awsome

What were your ppms after the flush, the pH?

In happy frog/ocean forest you should have nutrition for 4-5 weeks without having to feed.

I am reusing the soil as well though and i never did do a flower flush becore harvest so i made a pretty big mistake. The ph i suspect is 6.5 ish thing is my ph pen is broken so im usijg ph indocator solution until i get a new one bur the ppm is around 800 as of rn.

These are still pretty small to be watering to runoff in pot size you’re using. And it looks like you’re using a potting soil? Generally not good practice to flush this early unless absolutely necessary, as it will strip away your amendments and require to start feeding earlier.

None of these plants look in too bad of shape. Two things I would consider, leaves that touch growing media will start to look rough and roots not getting adequate amount of oxygen can appear as nutrient or ph issues.

Growbro dbrn32 put it perfectly… :backhand_index_pointing_up:

In an organic medium like OF+HF you dont want to water to run off. But your plants look in good shape all in all. See how they progress in a few days

How many weeks of generally good grow should i have before going to runoff? Cause the other 2 healthy ones i suspect could be having issues in the near future as well.

I wouldn’t water to runoff until weeks 4-5, or whenever you start to notice the first signs of deficiency, like @dbrn32 said :

If you water to runoff now while they are still so young

Thanks for the info, im reusing the soil from last run so next time ill make sure i do more thinfs right before planting like making sure the soil ph and ppm are correct and the right njtrient solutions are used

That makes sense ill mark it in my notes, got a whole list of things and mistakes ove made over the past couple grows and a checklist of things to do before i even plant more seeds

I wanna ask to, plamt 4 definitely had no oxygen stress or anything and was having issues with the toxicity which is why i flushed. Looks like some phosporus or potassium issues rn. Should i foliar spray? At least till the lockout is done

A cannabis plant should never be sprayed with anything unless absolutely necessary to treat mold or bugs. Spraying isn’t otherwise worth the risks. Excess moisture risks mold and spraying with salts may clog leaf stoma, inhibiting the plant’s ability to breathe effectively.

Depending on who you talk to there is a case that would suggest you don’t water to runoff anytime when using organic soils. Strictly for the purpose of not stripping away your organic ammendments. In a perfect world you would water in slow to ensure you get your pots thoroughly soaked and then let the majority of water be pulled from pot before watering again. A lot of people will suggest watering to runoff as a way to make sure there is enough water provided, but it’s not always the best method for a soil grow. And between waterings you want to make sure your pots get dry enough for the roots to get some oxygen. Not bone dry, but you don’t want pots continually soaked either.

That makes sense basically only water till runoff if the plant can handle it. And with organic full of nuts try not to flush all those nuts right down. Thing is im not concerned with watering organic nuts away im reusing the soil so my main concern is nutrient uotake. And whats best for that. On the next run ill make sure the soil isnt to hot like what happened this time and im not watering to much at once till week 4 most likely thank you

Oaf well that aint good i might just water with some light fertilizer then. At least to try to get the plant to eat without using to much of it. Since ppm is still around 800 i think.

Maintain your PPM at ~1,000.

Keeping balanced fertilizer load at proper ph should cover this.

Yeah probably use a couple gallon of soil then run like a xouple gallons of water with 2 ml grow big per gallon that way theres some nuta but not enough to mess things up

Yeah, i agree always heard bad things going above that some people get lucky lol some dont

Keep in mind that soil amended organically is softer more gentle on the plants than soil with synthetic fertilizer added. Your PPMs levels can easily be north of 2500 with organic and not be a problem. When I use bag mediums like FF Coco Loco it has PPM levels around 2500 and my plants love it starting from the seedling stage, I start feeding synthetic nutrients around weeks 4-6 with ample run off :love_you_gesture:
