Done 2 weeks ago with BUILDASOIL big 6
Soil-fox farms ocean forest
Humidity-30-40% day…55/65% night
Lights-20-4
I have know clue on if i have a deficiencies or toxicity but i did flush the plant out of panic and not wanting the plant to die…i figured if its a toxicity ill be gone and if its a deficiencies i can fix it…plant is 6 weeks old.
Ph-6-7 but 95%of the time its 6.5
Looks like some N tox and possibly Mag deficiency. No telling if one is causing the other.
But having a current runoff ppm would be super helpful. Having previous numbers also helps a ton.
Of the top of my head, the plants werent ready for feeding at that level at 5 weeks old in FFOF soil. It can normally feed til about now (6 weeks) and even then it just needs a touch by then.
The bat , do you have any source for how strong? Is it branded or?
Worm castings are always good.
Ful-humix (humic acids?) and vam (?) if humics then its awesome as well.
Epsom’s are your magnesium. Able to be overdone but you have to be super heavy handed with it.
Big 6 is all I honestly would have started them out with (and ew castings). With a splash of microbials (think Mykos, Recharge, Tribus. There are plenty of brands but i know those).
But back to the flush… are you certain she was stripped of the goodies? Ppm reading again
@PurpNGold74 i don’t 6one yet its coming tm and i planned on flushing ut again with 6.5 to “reset” the soil and them gk from there…if it is what you said would flushing again be beneficial
@PurpNGold74 no c02 i have a ac infinity 6 in inline fan its ilgm genetics " girl scout cookies extreme autoflower)
Roots organic bat poo 9-3-1
9-3-1 is the NPK with 9 being Nitrogen. Further compounding the N toxicity.
Flushing ppms down (resetting the soil) cant be efficiently done without a ppm meter. How can you know when uve properly reduced ppms??
Now using distilled would be better, but again, still flying blind without the numbers. If u just have to do anything, then thats the way to go. 3 gall pot gets 10-15 gallons of distilled water slowly. It will reduce ppms just u wont know by how much. Normally u feed immediately after a flush so they wont show deficiencies everywhere. But again back to not knowing where you left off, it could hurt just as much as help
Ill be able to do that tm as im getting a ppm meter tm…so how would i test the ppm before the flash i understand how to do it after
Give her some straight distilled/bottle/rain/RO water. Get a good bit (20%) of runoff and give it a check. Post here and we can keep shooting at her.
Also dont overworry. Its super easy to be a helicopter parent starting off and swing too far, only to make it worse. She looks good n growing fine. A few leaves is her way of saying pay attention to me lol. We’ll get u sorted out
@PurpNGold74 i appreciate your help man i definitely think i over did the nutes…i was thinking more is better haha…next grow im going to try and make my own soil so its "water only " for the first couple month’s…my next grow is going to be lilac diesel and bandana blaze photos i figure that gives time to make mistakes and correct them b4 they go into flower
Definitely true. Everytime someone labels an auto as beginner friendly i chuckle to myself. They are even me friendly.
No problem on the assist. But just to be honest, making ur own soil comes with its own headaches. I attempted it starting out thinking what could be easier… i was wrong lol. PH buffering is the key. Bake your soil properly and make sure to include dolomite lime to keep the pH up. VERY IMPORTANT INGREDIENT. Or ull have bigger issues.
Coco and jacks 321 seem to be the easiest cant miss style rn. I have a fair bit of jacks and toss it into the soil every so often. It definitely works and I can imagine with coco (as long as u can feed pretty darn consistently) i can see the allure. Overdrive growth and u know EXACTLY what they are getting. Organica and soil take chemicals breaking down in various forms n can be pretty easy after u have a firm grasp on it. @Budbrother and @GreenJewels each have loads of journal footwork on organics if ur sold completely.
Also early am roadtrips at work. So I may zonk out. If so, be sure to tag me tomaro when u get those numbers. Ill be around eventually
@PurpNGold74 ok np and im not 100% set on organics and i plan on doing grow with synthetic nutes some time in the future…o btw i plan on PHing the water to 6.5 or should i go with a different ph
What are you using to check your pH, as well as what are you using to reduce/increase pH?
I agree with @PurpNGold74 A little too heavy on the nutes. Burnt tips are a giveaway. As well as the deep green and shiny leaves.
Runoff numbers (pH, tds/ppms) would help dx.
I’m assuming these are autos (since you’re at 20/4).
I agree with @PurpNGold74 i believe u have a bit nitrogen toxicity and magnesium the type of deficiencies you will most likely get in flowering stage is magnesium and calcium and phosphorus and potassium and iron .but what ur experiencing is magnesium def and nitrogen toxicity
6.5 is on the money dealing with soil. If your runoff is a bit higher, go in a but lower. If its lower? Go in a bit higher.
My ppm was 3k plus and i use ph up and down for the ph…i have a total of 4 plants and they all are in the 3k ranges so after work im going to flush all of them i bought a crazy amount of water 60 gallos to be exact. 15 gallons per plant and they have at half light the last 2 days to avoid attempt to slow down the issues there all flowering one should be ready in 2 weeks the others have about a month left…what should my ppm be after the flush and when i feed them after flushing
Im about an hour before I get to the office. Want to make sure I type it all right so bare with me my guy
No worries im at work myself
Id aim to get them under 1000 ppms. If youre trying to get a good grasp on everything then the lower the better. Some people like under 500 but that takes even longer.
What it should be after depends on what you actually feeding after. If ur going in at 800 ppms or 1200 ppms, you want to see some kind of correlation. Wherever you stopped plus whatever you add basically
I think i understand that
