Week 6: No added nutrients yet.. am I ok?

Hey there - I planted my first 4 auto flowers ever 6 weeks ago. I haven’t started nutrients yet because honestly, I don’t know what to do!

Each plant is a different size.

I have been balancing the PH of my water over the last 2 weeks.

So many questions.

Am I watering enough?
Is 24hrs of light okay?
What temp/humidity should I be at?
I have FF nutrients (

Im far from a pro but i myself am a auto grower im only on my 2nd run but i do have 2 white widow photos in the tent an honestly the only reason im doingo photos is for the yield. Your plants are nice an green for u to have not given them any nuets very healthy looking. tips starting to yellow tho might need some calmag but im sure the pros will chime in an show u the way. What kind of soil are using i might have to try it

You shouldn’t need to worry about nutes for a few weeks probably. Plants of those size will take a while to use up nutes in 5 gal of soil. To be certain i need to know what soil you are using. Looks like ocean forest

Indeed, it’s Ocean Forrest! Being that I’m on week 6, what should I be doing this week? I believe they’re stunted because I was very minimalistic on the water to avoid overwatering.

How much water should I be giving them today?

You know you’re in the right place when a member can call what soil you have just by seeing a picture of it :joy:

Fair play @Solidgold91 :joy:

You shouldn’t worry about the amount of water that you give at this point. You’re in 5 gallon pots. You’re 6 weeks into this. You should be feeding at least a gallon and a half of water to achieve a 25% runoff. Your plants are plenty old enough to get fully drenched with runoff.

At this stage you’re getting close to running out of food the only way you can tell how much pre-charged nutrients are in your soil is by utilizing runoff. This will tell you where you stand and what you should do from there.

Your plants are also at the stage that they would benefit tremendously from low stress training LST (autoflowers love it and the yields increase by doing this)

Personally with the lights for an auto flower I like 18 on 6 off (18/6)

You’re in the vegetation stage. Autoflower I like the environment to be 80° 75% humidity. I also like a couple of fans blowing around in there for airflow.

I also like a smaller fan allowing directly on the girls to keep them slightly dancing at all times. (This don’t strengthens the stability with your plants)

You’ve got some great auto growers here in this community. I agree with your light schedule being 18/6 plants need to rest. I’ve done 24 previously but I don’t think it accomplished any extra growth just higher light bill. Happy growing and send picture when you do the LST.

@Lostgirl has you covered. Good luck with your plants friend.

I’ve drenched them with 3/4 gallon of PH balanced water.

I’ll start the 18/6 light schedule tomorrow.

I’ve never given the plants this much water!

Thanks for your advice, everyone. :pray:t2::pray:t2:

My auto is on day 17 and looks like this. I just removed the first nodes and LST, but i put pure honey on the cuts (another member mentioned). Do you think I will be able to top in 3-4 days? This ill be the only other training i want to attempt on the plant because im a first time grower and probably pushing the envelope.

I don’t see drip trays under the buckets which leads me to believe you have no holes in them. They have to be able to drain and you should water to run off as mentioned. I also noticed when watering you are watering around the stem. Water at the perimeter of the bucket slowly. This will make the roots go to the perimeter of your buckets looking for that water.

This is how they like it. Flood to drought with several days in between waterings. Overwatering is not amount given at one time but frequency. A little bit of water daily will cause her to drown slowly especially if you don’t have the drainage mentioned above.

Personally, I never top autos. I don’t think I’d be the right person to ask. Sorry. Someone else will chime in on this

Thanks for the tag Sis, @Bigcbud i top autos but only if they’re healthy and flourishing. I top above the 4th node leave the 3rd and remove all growth below. Growth nodes 3 and 4 are left to grow :love_you_gesture:

Thank you I am familiar with your topping process, I have it saved on my phone lol

I know you said remove 1&2 but I just removed the first node and applied honey and then LST just now. The fifth node is currently growing so I’m curious if after what I just did would I be able to top it in 3-4 days or is that too much stress? I did what I did today to not over stress it all at once.

I would top now, no recovery needed on that first node removed :love_you_gesture:

How did I do @OGIncognito ? I left the ones off the side because I think they’re the branch off nodes like I see on the other nodes. I’m sure there’s another terminology but I don’t know it.
