I like to leave a bit of a nub sticking up. New grower myself.
Day 2 LST - 8 cups of water each - 18/6 schedule
Stands for the buckets installed yesterday.
AC/Dehumidifier installed today.
Let’s see if we can turn this ship around!
It could be a number of different things. I’m assuming you’re still giving them just H2O
What kind of water are you using?
Also says 94% humidity. That should come down quite a bit
Thanks for the reply
Still PH balanced water.
Yea, I can’t seem to get the humidity at the soil level lower! The humidity gauged in the tent is 72 and temp 70. But at the soil level it’s jacked up to these high numbers when the tent door is open.
Each plant has something going on. More then likely several different things.
As I and others stated 6 days ago. You should be running off your waterings. (I don’t see where you’ve done that)
Note
The only way you can successfully grow your plants is to communicate with them. The only way to communicate with them is through numbers. (Ppm and Ph)
What should I do?
1.) let your plants fully dry
2.) Water your plants until you get 15% of that water running out of the bottom of your pots.
3.) collect the water
4.( Measure the ppm and ph of the water
5.) Document the numbers
How much water to use?
You say you’re in 5 gallon buckets (I’ve never used a 5 gallon buckets I use 3 gallon bags) I use one gallon and one cup to catch 15% runoff. I personally would estimate 1-1/2 gallons of water would give your 5 gallon buckets sufficient runoff to measure.
What stage am I in?
It’s incredibly important to know what stage you’re in as your plant requires different attention in each phase/stage of growth. Feeding, environmental, and lighting all change (need adjusted) depending on the stage you’re in.
Last week you said your plants were six weeks old. One would assume that that’s 10 days in seedling stage and you should now be somewhere around week 4 a vegetation (does it look like any sign of flowering yet)
Safe environment
Did the vegetation stage your tent inside should be during the day 80° and your relative humidity should be the same 80%
Remove your hygrometer from the soil you’re not worried about the relative humidity in the soil your relative humidity in the tent is what you’re looking for same goes with the temperature. I always hang my hygrometer at the canopy level of the plants in the center of the tent.
These are the things that I would be concerned with at your immediate stage.
I asked, “what type of water are you using?”
You answered, “Still PH balanced water.”
I’m actually looking for the type of water that you’re using. Tap water,RO water, distilled water, spring water, etc…
Thank you for your help. I haven’t yet purchased the tool that I can measure the Ppm.
I’ve been using tap water and recently started the FF nutrients Big Bloom and Grow Big for the two that haven’t started flowering and those plus tiger bloom for the two that are flowering.
Here’s some updated pics from last two days.
When watering 1 gallon, almost half runs through.
Unfortunately, without a ppm meter and runoff numbers it’s hard to recommend anything as there’s nothing to base it on.
Your basically playing the 50/50 luck game by guessing. They look good so luck is on your side for now. That can change anytime.
We communicate with our plants through pH and ppm numbers.
Pictures didn’t upload.
I think they look awesome! More experienced growmies will chime in soon enough!
Keep up the good work
Have you been checking the run off PPMs? This or a soil slurry test are the methods of checking available nutrients in the soil. 800-1200 PPMs are a good range with a PH of 6.3-6.8.
At that time I believe I had the lights far too close to the plants man. When they were stretching, one plant actually got burnt bc of the proximity of the light. Lesson learned!
