Yellowing leaves 3 weeks in

I am in week 3 of flowering and my leaves are yellowing at the tips. This is my second grow after killing my first plant overwatering. I didn’t plan the grow room that well and ended up running out of room when the flowering stage happened.

I am assuming the yellowing is due to being too close to a light, but wanted to double check. Is there anything that I can do? I can’t move my light any higher. Also, is this a major issue or is it okay just to let it go like this?

Also, I have two plants. One is hot, last runoff PPM was 2200. The other was 1100.

What strain: AK47 Autofem
Method: FoxFarms Ocean Forest
Vessels: Fabric 5 Gal pots
PH of Water: Around 6-6.5 after adding nutes
PPM/TDS: 2200 PPM in runoff in one pot, 1100 in the other
Indoor
Light system: HLG120H54A
Temps: 73F day, 68F night
Humidity: 55% - 76%
Ventilation system; Yes, 4" duct fan
Dehumidifier, but not currently using
Co2: Carbon filter with duct fan

Yellow tips are normally due to over feeding. Some folks try to hit the point where the tips yellow just a bit so that they know that they are at the limit. I would back off on the nutrients just a bit. Also, you are just staring to flower and your plant appears to have a bit too much nitrogen for the flowering stage.
I will tag a few that are better at diagnosing than I am.

You got it wizard.

Thanks y’all! I’ll skip the nutes next time and check the PPM.

Whichever plant had the runoff of 2200 ppm, prep extra water for it and water to good amount of runoff watering entire surface slowly.

Okay cool! Yeah most of the yellowing is on that plant.

Also, both these plants are hardly requiring any water it seems. I’m giving a gallon about every two weeks and that is when I feel dry soil to about a knuckle. Is that atypical? The feeding schedule says to give a gallon with nutes every week, but it doesn’t seem like they need that much. I also live in the humid south…

Hmm. Unless they are in large pots you should probably have to water/feed 1-2 times per week. I would double check your canopy tenps and rh are in proper ranges, also wondering what you have for light?

They are in 5 gallon fabric pots. Is that too big?

They are under an HLG120H54A that is turned down to lowest settings to avoid light burn.

Temps are 68-73F and humidity is 55%-70%

Just watered both plants. One plant’s runoff was 600ppm with a 6.2PH and the other’s was 1600ppm with 5.9PH.

And how big is grow space? Running that light at 100% shouldn’t burn your plants if distance to canopy is reasonable. You need to start gradually increasing power. You should be working to full power at about 18" above canopy, maybe a little closer if hardened off properly.

Your lights on temp with led light should be around 80f. That will give you around the right leaf surface temp to get best rates of transpiration

Okay! The distance to canopy is about 12" and unfortunately I can’t raise the light any higher. The tent is 36" x 20" x 62". I will start gradually increasing my light! I burned a previous plant so I was worrying about that.

Your light too close to quickly probably. You have Scroggins and can’t get your light more than 12" away? Can you take a pic of how everything is configured in your tent so I can see? We can provide come up with something to get you a little more room.

This was my first attempt and I missed up the scrog. The plants grew threw and now are too wide/tall. I also didn’t defoliate till after flowering and I think that was problematic. Here’s my setup:

I see. Probably not worth messing around with right now, but I see a way for you to gain a little room. You could remove driver from heatsink and extend wires, then mount to a tent pole or even outside of your tent. Then replace the hanging cables with something adjustable.
