Hello guys,
This is my first post and also my first grow. I hope I’m posting this in the correct space as well. Well my grow is now 44 days and and everything seems to be going fine. However I have noticed a slight yellowing on the tips of some of my leaves. Ive done some research and figured that it could be a few things but I would guess nute burn. Ive only fed with nutrients 4 times now. Three out of 4 have been with Grow and Grow big from fox farm. I started with a quarter of the recommended and slightly increased to the recommended each week. Last week was the first week i introduced the Tiger bloom as i assume I have reached the flowering stage now. That’s when I noticed the yellowing. So this week I decided to skip nutrients and just use regular water until I can figure out whats going on. Let me know if you need any more information from me. Thanks in advance. Also if you spot any other issues or notice something I could be doing better I would love the feedback.

welcome to the community plants look healthy I see nothing that I would be concerned about. Happy growing
All looks pretty good. You should also be feeding Big Bloom as it contains the micronutrients (copper, iron, boron, manganese,…) that your plant needs. A cal/mag product is also required when using the FF Trio.
No need to worry about burned tips. It’s generally recognized as a good thing that the plant is being pushed hard.
I apologize I wrote it wrong. I am using Grow big, big bloom, and tiger bloom. Thanks for the reply!
Welcome! Look pretty good to me. You are in the right spot for advice when needed. Alot of knowlege around here and in the grow bible.
Happy Growing!
Looking yummy!
Looks good to me. Would like to know what runoff ppm numbers look like. Fox farms nutes often cause a build up.
How would I record that? Just PH test the runoff after watering ?
Not ph but tds, @BobbyDigital is talking about measuring the ppm of the runoff after watering with a tds meter.
It is a good idea for sure, nothing wrong with FF trio but keeping track of the runoff ppm can help tell you when to feed and when to give just water.
Basically trying to balance runoff to be somewhere between 700ppm-1100ppm, most people go for 1000ppm.
By doing so and keeping ppm around 1000 you greatly lower the risk of any salt build up leading to issues
I think foxfarm “full” schedule puts ppm well over 1000ppm and that’s fine, but it has a reputation with new growers to cause salt build up just watch the runoff numbers and you’ll be golden
That’s because fox farms charts are on the 700 scale instead of 500 scale that most meters go by. On 700 scale, 1000ppm is about 710ppm on the 500 scale.
Here’s a chart I made to convert from 700 to 500 scale
That looks like its still well over 1000ppm more weeks then not no matter which scale is used
It’s like they drive it way up then tell you to pay for a product to flush it out only to immediately load it up again so you can flush it some more
I just ordered a tds meter so I will take the reading after the feeding and compare it to the chart
