Yellow tips Help!

Hey whats up guys. Need some help as you can see in the posted pics im having some issues dont notice the issue until about 3 weeks of flowering. The tips are starting to turn yellow then about week 8 of flowering the tips are super burnt and curling up. Im sure someone else has posted the same thing. But couldnt find it on here. I thought it was just genetics of the plant. However im using different strain and its starting to show on that any suggestions would be helpful. Im growing in 3 gal fabric pots in coco loco for my medium. PH at 6.5 pretty much start to finish. 18hr light room temp stays between 77°-80° RH at 55% using gaia green dry amendment top dress but not for the first 3 weeks in the new cocoloco please help

What are your runoff pH and PPM numbers? I expect that your runoff pH is low and the runoff PPM is high.

To he honest i never test the run off. What should it be? Thanks for the reply and the welcome. Is it is high what is the corrective action?

pH should be 5.8 to 6.2 if in coco. Low pH is most often caused by a mineral salt buildup. A salt buildup is fairly common when in mid to late flower. A good flush will wash out those mineral salts.

What should the ppm be on the run off? Also i should be ph my normal waterings at 5.8-6.2 to prevent this from happening again?

Runoff PPM should be ~1,000.

It should be in that range, but it won’t prevent it from happening again. A salt buildup is common with some nutrient products. There’s not much you can do about it, though watering to runoff each time can help minimize it.

That’s soil I believe
Has coco as part of the mix so I would treat as soil.
Soil PH range 6.2-6.8 or so

How many weeks since flower buttons appeared?
How do the Trichomes look? Clear cloudy amber…percentages on buds nit sugar leaves?

My plants in soil always end up eating themselves as far as fan leaves in the late stages of flower. Senescence just like outside in the fall.
Gai green fertilizer I believe is more towards organic style but I’ve never used it. Not sure if it’s that or chemical with salts etc

So i had 4 mature plants 2 just went into the dark tent before harvest. They had about 10%amber 80 milky 10 clear. Theu smelled amazing super sticky. The 2 that are still in there 50/50 milky to clear. But they dont have really any smell to em. The 4 were planted at the same time

Ive had numerous other grows normally dwc this is my first in coco gaia green seems to make the medium pretty firm

I haven’t looked it up again but I believe coco loco is a peat based medium with coco added in. I would treat it as soil for all pH dealings.

Coco Loco is mostly coco but has added humus (compost) and additives like bat guano.

Thank you for clearing that up!

I’ve never used either although I’ve had a bag of coco loco sitting for over 5 years just never used it.

I’ve only grown in living soil using organic amendments.
I’ve always added additional aeration to whichever soil base I use.
Used to add perlite but now using pumice stone and rice hulls instead

So the issue is build up and flushing is the best thing for that? Also i dont use calmag should i?

Check your runoff pH and PPM to confirm and be sure.

I use Loco. Treat it as soil but since it does have alot of husks mixed in, I would use 6.0-6.5 for the pH. It’s kind of a hybrid. My watering practices are still drought to flood though, not daily like true coco. She looks like she is starving but without the run off pH and TDS/PPM’s, hard to know for sure.

What do you use for nutrients with the coco loco?
