WWA attempt #1 send halp

Alright just so we’re all on the same page here, the last time I planted anything was when our third grade class grew bean stalks together. And if I remember correctly that didn’t go well for me either…
That being said I’ve been lurking around the page for a few months now and while a whole lot of the info goes clean over my head I think I’ve absorbed enough info to give it a shot. Or so I thought haha
I’ve got various levels of success or lack there of going on. I got the 10 for 10 deal on the white widow autos and dropped three seeds a glass of tap water. Planted once they all had a nice tap going on and all three sprouted on 5/12.
Last Saturday we left for the day/night so I gave them a healthy shot of water to compensate for not being around to mist their domes. I think that was my downfall. Pretty sure I can bring back the one. But I thing I completely lost the other. Any thoughts are more than welcome and I’ll try and keep the journal up best I can for my own future reference if nothing else. Thanks!

How close is your light to the plants?

I’m still learning myself, but imo it looks like you got water on your leaves and the light burnt them up

Kinda where I was looking at 2 @Brobdab

Also, I started off with the bloomspect 1000. This light will not get you through flowering. It only pulls like 180 watts from the wall. Just a heads up.

Light was about 11" up, just raised it to 18
I try to not get water directly on the leaves but some days I take the domes off and it looks like drops have fallen from the condensation onto the leaves.

I think this little lady might have ran her course

Is this the one your calling a three leaf? It definitely has three of those baby leaves. What does that mean?

Yeah I kinda figured but I purchased before I read all about the evils of ‘blurple’ lol when should I expect to have to upgrade?

Also just dropped another seed, really don’t think the one is coming back

I guess the few other questions i have would be when should I remove the domes? And when should I switch the lighting to 18/6

You want the soil drying out between waterings.

Probably go a day and a half between spritzes at this size

With autos. I’ve heard you can run 12/12 I run 18/6 seed to weed, the 3 leaf @Hellraiser had one of these I think in zkittlez strain

Those leaves have mold. Once the helmet “seed casing” comes off the leaves the plants no longer need a dome. Vegging plants will grow even in 40% humidity.

The dome is causing to much moisture/humidity and the leaves are molding and dying.

Do you have a fan blowing a gentle breeze on the plants? They need airflow.

I would raise the light to 30-36 inches above the plants and turn on the veg and bloom switch until you can get a better light

Welcome to the forum!

I was going to suggest moving light up, but the others got you there. 18-24" range is probably good. Also, try not to water right on the stem. When they are due for watering, water in with a small ring around the plant. This will encourage root expansion and help keep stem from damping off. They don’t need much now either.

Just planted the new seed tonight, had about 1/4 inch tail after around 24 hours in the water. I figure by the time she sprouts there will only be 10 day difference or so. Hope that doesn’t make too big a difference when it comes harvest time

The 10 day difference won’t matter. You could have multiple plants that were planted at the same time and harvest time will vary.
Good luck and happy growing :v:

Ladies seem to be bouncing back ok. Got a little bit of new growth.

I do have some pretty good swings in temp/humidity going on. Figured I’d throw a 5 gal bucket of water in there to hopefully add some mass to stabilize stuff out. Maybe raise the humidity a bit we’ll see. If nothing changes I’ll have to get it off the concrete in the basement, probably some 1" foam or something. I am in MN and it’s been getting pretty nasty humid and warm so that probably has something to do with it.
