Will HERMIE seeds regrow AutoFlower

Will Hermied seeds from a autoflower if replanting be feminized?

Will Hermied seeds from a autoflower if replanting be Auto flower?

Will Hermied seeds from a autoflower if replanting end up Hermieing?

I’ve investigated these three questions with no real answer solid answer. I’ve been on several different growing forums and ask the same three questions then I’ll get 40 different answers.

I decided to test this myself and give you personal answers from a recent test.

My scenario
Back in 2022 I did it grow. In that grow was a set of Do-Si-Doe feminized autoflowers that grew real well and harvested huge yields.

It wasn’t until I started trimming that I noticed hundreds of seeds in my trim tray. That can only mean one thing. My two plants hermied on me.

The weed was fire but filled with seeds I kept a handful of seeds and started asking the questions above on different posts and different forums. I could never get a clean answer and I can appreciate that. So for almost 2 years I sat on the seeds.

Back in June I decided to put it through the test. I germinated one seed it popped it grew.

Lo and behold I saw signs of female in approximately 3 weeks. This answered first question.

"Will Hermied seeds from a autoflower if replanting be feminized?* For me the answer is YES my Hermie seed regrow feminized.

Lo and behold in week 4 of veg my plant started showing signs free flower. This answered question number two.

Will Hermied seeds from a autoflower if replanting be Auto flower? In my case the answer was YES my hermied seed regrow as auto flower.

Here is a live picture from today from the seed that was hermied that’s so far has proven feminized Auto flower. She’s mid-week 6 of flower and as you can see she’s full of buds they’re big and they’re Frosty.

This leads us to our last question.
Will Hermied seeds from a autoflower if replanting end up Hermieing?

I can partially answer that question. As of now the answer is NO The hermit seed has yet to hermie However, she still has about 4 weeks left before harvest.

To get a 100% answer to question 3 *stay tuned"

Note
The above facts are stated based on my personal predicament. My answers are based on my findings. For the sake of science and mother nature I would safely assume there should be other scenarios with other tests

See you guys in 4 weeks!

Just bc a feminized auto hermied, does not mean the seeds will hermy. Afterall, this is how feminized seeds are created. The only difference is how much stress it will take to hermy. Any feminized seed has a chance to hermy imo. In your case, if it was not obvious, must have been some hidden nanners.

A buddy of mine grew a hermed plant. Kept about 250 seeds. Out of those between the 2 of us planted 10 apiece over time. 7 of his hermed 3 did not. Picked off hermed parts through whole grow. Out of my 10 one hermed with nanners. Pinched those off. Took about a week and seen no more. Found maybe 5 seeds after harvest. The other 9 were fine no hermies.
Told him it’s him because he had lots of them I had one.
So I guess it depends [piss on it] couldn’t help that reference. LOL

Very well could have been. I remember the grow. It was nine plants in a 4x4 so believe me there wasn’t close attention paid to any of them

As I stated there’s so many variables. I just figured I hadn’t seen any post on this nor have I saw any actual results so I figure what the hell. I got time I’ll do it.

So far for me everything is in my favor. Unless they heard me in the end it just meant a free seed

My experiment has concluded. I had a seed that came from a hermied Do-si-dos autoflower from a previous grow. I ran the seed and the plant is done. These were my findings

1.) will the Hermie seed be feminized? In my grow yes. It was female.

2.) will the Hermie seed be autoflower? Yes, my hermie seed was indeed in autoflower.

3.) will the Hermie seed become a hermie plant at the end of the grow?
No, in my case the plant did not hermie at the end.

In conclusion the plant grew just fine w/ wonderful dence bud.

At the end of the day sometimes hermie plants will give you countless seeds at the end that you can use for a lifetime! It didn’t in my case
