My grow, 4th, is GDP autoflower, outdoor grow, 5 weeks old. I have 5 plants all around 8" tall and they have been flowering for 2 weeks. I topped them a few weeks back and they took it well. My first autoflower grow and they seem like they are denser than normal seeds, not much space between rows of leaves. Flowers are getting tighter and covered in trichnomes, sticky and smelling when touched. Will they get taller to increase yield? Just gave them the first dose of flowering fertilizer (Bergmans) and plan on giving it once a week. Im in Florida so days are 80 degrees, but nights can be 50-60’s. They look healthy, but small. Is there a way to add pics to this?

Look for the pic icon. Click it, select your file, give it time to fully upload, then post.
If your plants are 5 weeks old and have been flowering for 2 weeks and still only 8", then you’ve got a runt on your hands. Suggest growing photos to avoid this. You have to take what you get with autos, and autos produce runts occasionally.

Look dont feel bad Yes they are stunted…Look at some of my journals and comments on MY -*** Bonsai autos so you wont feel alone …As Midwest said sometimes you get runts…from my experience Ive got more runts in the last two seasons then prior…who knows coincidence,bad genetics…dumb luck?..But Ive had some pretty big ones too…(as far as Autos go)…I dont know what strains you’ve grown or want to grow but try the strains that “profess” larger plants…Tan`gie Matic Auto is one?

I’ve had that same runt issue. You might be surprised by what a small plant can do. Hang in there!

Had an auto in a prior grow that was deformed, and I almost pulled it on Day 23 when it was only 2” tall…and then I supercropped it when it when it was 53 Days old and 40” from the soil 
…
…it wound up the biggest of the three I had left in the tent, even after pruning branches and supercropping super-late:

My 4th grow and first with auto flowers. I live in Florida and maybe started too early. All 6 seeds popped and all are the same size. thought it was too cold so kept them under gro lights for 2 weeks until the nights warmed up, then they have been out for 3 weeks in 5 gallon felt gro bags. I have never had them grow so tight between nodes, kinda freaky and they are getting taller. I bought 20 of these seeds so I am going to pop a few more now that they can go outside and see what happens. Keep tuned!

5 weeks old short, but spunky! My other grows were blackberry kush and white widow, both turned out well. First autos so did not know what to expect. I bought ten seeds and got 10 free here on ILGM so I hope they are not all runts. They really are having good bud formations already. It’s for personal stash so quantity is not most important. I like to grow outdoors on lanai because of smell and I live in a community so wanted smaller plants. Careful what ya wish for!

Here is my most recent harvested auto. Pretty small 
. I did intentionally transplant it….which stunted it most likely. It’s all good though she got me a good buzz. Although I probably cut her a week or 2 early due to a tornado hitting my town and was without power for like 5 days. I just went ahead and cut because I couldn’t control anything and humidity was out of control LOL. Either way I’m happy with the results! On to the next 6

I got great yield from my first and only auto, from what I’ve heard on here. I went back to photos, much more forgiving.

It has been a while, 10 weeks old and never grew above the 8" tall. Out of curiosity I let 2 grow, because of limited space, and I think they are ready to harvest. I did get a quick response on my complaint about the seeds and they were REPLACED QUICKLY AT NO CHARGE! THANK YOU ILGM! Only half of the 6 I tried to germinate popped, but I guess that is average. We will see what happens. Here are pics of the 2 runts in all their glory. I still don’t see the purple in Grandaddy Purple, but tell me what you think. Maybe close to an ounce dried when done.
