So I harvested my plant because it was starting to get a bit of Bud wrapped. I think it was a few weeks too early but here in the Northeast you take what you get. This is my first outdoor grow. I’m just wondering why my basement does not smell like weed and I’m drying it down there. The bud is super sticky and oily and I could smell it on my fingers when I touch it but it is not strong like I thought it would be in my house. I had a smaller plant that was more pungent when I dried it. Does this indicate the level of potency

I wouldn’t worry. The stickiness is good indication that there are plenty of trichomes present.
Some plants never smell much due to the terpine profile the plant has. This is a very common question.
Smell may return after your cure is complete.

Man the weather is crazy good the next week. Too bad you did not wait one more week. So you know, the plants can take the cold really well. Even a minor frost. Its the mold from the dew and rain you gotta worry about. Nice pull.
My post is supposed to say it had a bit of Bud rot. That’s why I pulled it but I don’t know how to edit my post
