Why are all the plants I am see so tall? All mine are stout and bushy

I see so many plants that are tall and spaced wide with their nodes. All mine are short stout very bushy with very tight nodes together. I am a total newbie…lol

Lots of light is the main contributor to short, bushy cannabis plants.

I only grow very small plants. I try to keep them under 1 1/2 feet tall. :joy:

Being short and bushy does it effect the yield?

While I am also a newbie, I have spent countless hours reading and learning from the amazing supportive community here.

I, too, have noticed the monsters grown by many. From what I gather, a wide variety of methods are used to maximize yield: topping and LST to name a couple. I am only familiar with the LST method, but since this is my first grow, it was highly recommended that I let the ladies do their thing.

All autos, indoor, LED 1000W (20"-24"), Pot for Pot soil mixture: Blueberry, Northern, Amnesia. So far BB is growing the best - short and wide. The other two started later and look to be doing well.

I expect you will get several better answers from more experienced growers. Pics would be nice if possible. I glean a lot of information from images.

Happy growing.

Those are looking much better than mine, but that might not be saying much!

Had lots of issues with NTH and AMH - first attempts - killed the seedlings. Second attempt seedlings popped soil and grew in an almost arch and never showed their cotyledons. After getting some advice here, I carefully pulled them out with tweezers and repotted them. Probably stressed the heck out of them. That being said, they are now 21 days and much smaller than yours. Not sure what the result will be, but what the heck, nothing to loose. Learning a lot along the way. The BB is nearly 4 weeks since breaking soil. It is doing well, but still not as full as your first image. I’ll try and post pics when I have the time to transfer to the computer.
