Indoor grow help please

Hi all, just want to hear some thoughts on my grow.
Light- clw ss550
No nutes yet.
Medium - perlite, vermiculite, peat.
Space 4 x4.
Light is at 30" above, spectrum is R-50.W-99, B-99.
18/6.
Strains are 7 x unknown indica. 2 x grand daddy kush, 1 x purple kush/duckfoot(my own creation)
All photos. No autos.
Plants h a ve been topped once, and trimmed a few times as they were honestly just bushy as fk, was trying to get light to the new growth nodes.
These are 3.5weeks above soil.

Thoughts!!
My plants seam to be just so short and bushy the main stem is so thick and solid i cant bend it, safely to LST, only thr branches, and cant even do that cause theyre just little trex arm branches lol.
You can see from the pics the insane growth rates i been getting. Well i think its insane compared to previous grows.
Plants are only 4-5" tall, but all have like 8 o more nodes.
Question??
Is this a good thing should i keep on doing what im doing or change something?
Your expert thoughts are generously welcome.
Cheers

The tight node spacing is due to the intensity of lighting. Raise your light or throttle it down (if adjustable) to encourage the plants to stretch out.

You are going to run out of space pretty quickly as the plants grow. I would flip them quickly if they are photoperiod plants. Cannabis is capable of doubling in size during the first few weeks of flowering.

Thats it , perfect now let them grow out for at least two weeks before you do anything else so your rootzone can get bigger . They are nice and healthy and when nothing is happening you can see above the dirt , means its a lot going on under the dirt , once the roots find the bottom , they will start to grow vertical . Pretty work .

Impressive. I’d have thought you’d run into pH or nute issues in that medium after 3.5 weeks.

As mentioned before, you can raise the lights, dim them, or give another week to see that they want to do

Yea thanks for that, first time using that light and still getting use to the settings.
Ive turned the blue and white down, upped tge red spec and raised the light. Hopefully that will.stretch em out a bit.
Plan is to veg them all in the 4x4 space then when i flip, ill put a few outside to create space.
I just had a bit more luck than usual when i germed, as i normally only get about 60-70% germ sucess, this time i got 100%, all 10 came up.
@MidwestGuy

I would favor blue over red since your plants aren’t flowering yet.

Awesome!

Happy growing.

@AussieBud the blue light is for vegging , it shoukd be on full power and the whites , 2 weeks before you flip them to bloom turn your red on full power , are just run the light full power full spectrum so the roots can eat and let the plants grow into the light full power and adjust it from there might give you a more aggressive growth rate.

@yoshi
Thanks mate, yea kinda been experimenting a little with this light since it has so much setting controlability. Really happy with the growth, just wondering why they so short thick n bushy.

@Drinkslinger
Sorry i forgot to mention i did have bout 10% worm castings in there also. I test water to 6.0 when i water. I dunno, yea its just crazy the growth, cant complain i guess. I was planning to give them a 1/2 dose nute schedule from bout wk 4, but will see how they go.

Yea all 10, crazy. Oh well, cant perform euthanasia on such wonderfull babies lol.

Yea i just thought by raising the light like you mentioned and adding a bit more red it might help them stretch a little. Ill see how it goes for a week or so.
I am experimenting a little with this light. I love it, the controller is awesome.

Let them grow for a while stop trimming and topping and if u want them to stretch abit turn ur light down abit other than that are growing with bottled nutrients or organic .just i was going to say if organic or even if ur bottled nutrients do u have seasol gold or even power feed cause if u do give them a feed of that it will get ur roots going and it will promote good growth on the plant and in the root system it works

@Aussie_autos
Thanks m8, you.might be onto something there. I trimmed them alot, they had huge big fan leaves at like wk 2 and lots of them. Was like a big umbrella over the new growth. I only topped them once tho. I think the trimming and the topping has done what i kinda wanted(created a bushier plant) now its time to just let the do their thing.
I have also reduced the light intensity and raised it slightly.
I havnt given them any nutes yet, but plan to use seasol and powerfeed.
Might get sonething heavy on p&k later on in flower, see how i go. Dobt really wanna use a whole bunch of heavy PGRs.

Appreciate the advice from everyone. Cheers.

No worries mate

I am in the 6th day of flower, indoor autogrow. I have a 3x3x5ft tent with one plant. I am using the Marshydro tent and the TS1000 light. At what power should the light be and how high from the plant? GDP that is doing pretty well for a first time grower.
I only put nutrients in the soil before I planted the plant. Now that it is in flower, I used a light amount of Gaia power Bloom and will continue to do that unless advised otherwise.
Thanks for the help!

Gaia is good stuff , you shoukd do good , can you post a photo maybe , 18-24 inches is about average on most led lights i think .

Little update since this post. At 31 days above soil. I took the advice from you guys, left them alone and raised the light. They may have grown vertical a little but definitely horizontally and bushier. These are all photos so ive got all the time needed to manipulate them. Should i just let them grow as is or trim or raise the light more or what. I know bishy is hood, but id like a bit of height too and get them to spread out a bit more.
Whats next??
Here is some pics. I made a vid too but not sure how to upload it.

Those are a little too compact for my taste. It’s not a bad thing, it just means that you have plenty of lighting, which is a very good thing. I would raise the light(s) a bit to encourage more stretching.

I agree with @MidwestGuy , raise the lights a bit more. I prefer a lot of spacing between the nodes. It helps promote good air flow.

Keep in mind your plants can double in height after you flip to flowering, so don’t let them outgrow your potential head space.

Thanks @MidwestGuy @Drinkslinger
Yea ive raised the light from 30" to 38" and refuced the intensity from bout 70% down to 40%.
Also gave them a trim and some light lst, so if they do decide to take off i can control them a bit.
Cheers.
Ill post updates in a couple wks.

I’d give them a week like that, then slowly (in 3-4 days) bring the intensity back up to where it was.
