I am running co2 in both of my tents and wanted to hear some experiences with other growers.
I tried it early on when I started growing. Extra CO2 won’t make a difference unless you are running a lot of light (>1,000 PPFD.) These PPFD levels won’t be achieved in most grow setups. I have to run an HLG 320 in my tent to achieve those levels.
If you are running a ventilation system, bringing in fresh air / also co2 you already have 400 parts per million. If you do NOT vent small space with lots of green bush they consume all available co2 and hyper oxygenate the space. I run a closed closet with no fresh air exchange so I keep a co2 bag adding some of what is missing.
No, not worth the hassle unless you do it properly and most people don’t and as FixerPower said, most don’t have the light for it either.
hi fixerpower. i am using a 1000 watt hps and i am getting from 1400 emol down to 800 down a little lower(with my apogee meter) my goal is maximum yield and terps but also to be able to handle higher heat. I just moved into a new neighborhood and want as little smell as possible. i do have plenty of venting with filters but they only come on over 87 degrees, so my temps get up to 92 degrees. from everything i read with co2 this temp is ok. thoughts?
Let’s ask a guy who knows HPS. I grow with LEDs.
@Hellraiser, can you please help here?
@nitrofish388, Yes, 92F is ok with co2 levels at 1200-1500 ppm, got to keep the humidify up as well 50-60RH.
i have to use a 30 pint dehumidifier in the tent to keep my rh down. with high temps what is a safe high rh? obviously don’t want bud rot…
50-60RH is safe.
