co2 in a tent

I GOT A 4X4X8 TENT THAT I WOULD LIKE TO PUT CO2 IN IT. RIGHT NOW I PUT FRESH AIR IN IT BY A AIR DUCK FROM MY CENTRAL H&A , WITH THE AIR FLOW TURNED ON ALL THE TIME. ALSO I HAVE A EXAUST GOING OUT THE TOP AND THROUGH A CARBON FILTER. WORKS GREAT BUT LIKE EVERYBODY I WANT BIGGER BUDS BUDS BUDS. I HAVE GONE AS FAR AS I CAN WITH EVERYTHING EXCEPT USEING CO2. WHAT WOULD BE THE BEST SETUP IF I SEAL OFF THE TENT, OR NOT. NEED HELP ON THIS ONE. PLEASE GIVE ME ALL THE IMFO. U GOT. 4 THE SAKE OF THE BUD. THANKS.

I’m glad you found what you needed. We try to remember everybody started somewhere and you don’t know what you don’t know and that there are no stupid questions. You are right. And we are only human, we can get our nerves irritated just like anyone else. However I really don’t think anyone was ignoring your question because it is an “old question we get all the time”. We do get very busy and there are only a few of us. But again, I’m happy you found what you needed, it is why we have all those old questions saved and posted – for everyone to have access to – when they first think of that same old question.

I have built my grow room in the center of the basement. I have a single family home in a quiet neighborhood. I was able to install a propane CO2 generator. I now have total control of the CO 2 saturation level up to 18,000 ppm. I keep mine set to fluctuate between 12,00 and 1300 ppm.

I am also a Process Engineer with more than 3 decade experience. If NOT installed correct could lead to death by fire, explosion, or suffiction.

The generator is a 4-burner placed in an explosion design enclosure. Ab intake duct draws the chamber ou and over the foundation. From there it is pumped into to ceiling of the main chambers. The main chaber is vented out low on 2 sides into mirror imaged nursery and veg chambers. All chambers seperated by blowers and light blocking. Next the now exhaust gets pulled up the the top of the side chambers, trough carbon scrubbers and back outside. I gat 11_12 days per propane tank.

Just wondering how the carbon scrubbers work…? Are they a filter that gets full of carbon, then you toss or rinse them… is there a way to make the carbon react with water to put it back into the air at the other end.

I saw a post someplace on the web the other day about re-working the vent for a gas water heater could get good CO2… might save you some propane… I have a post in,“Lights, ventilation, and misc” where I plan to report on green-housing over the heater vent on my roof this summer (Alaska)… hmm, now I’m wondering if I should make it look like a tent.

Might have missed my window for this year if the cold was too much for the seeds on the trip here (another reason my first order was so small, sorry)… today should be the last day of the last cold snap for this year… and much less of a pain waiting out there for the mail to grab the seeds right off the truck.

Carbon scrubber in this instance was an abbreviation for activated charcoal carbon air scrubber. This does not affect the amount of co2 in the room’s atmosphere, it only scrubs odors out of the air with the activated charcoal.
