Co2 in a ventilated tent?

Evening everyone, my local Hydro store has a good price on a co2 setup like $200 for everything.
That said I am venting my tent but figured any co2 is better than none. If I can get the levels to where they would be beneficial (1000-,1500 or whatever) why not?
Just curious if you guys think I should go for it. I figure worst case it’s $200 down the drain I can always re sell and get money back. Best case I get the Ppms up and can really crank my HLG light up hard.
I’m still new but I’ve pimped my tent out already and looking for something else and Co2 could seem beneficial even in a vented setup but figured ask you guys if anyone’s done it?

IMHO CO2 is for professional level and unless you have every little thing dialed in it will not make a difference in your home grow…you can grow great buds without CO2

Be careful with CO2. We have a former member of this forum who lost a friend to CO2 poisoning from a cannabis grow a few years ago.

@Retiredoldguy is correct. CO2 demands environmental conditions that hobby growers have a hard time replicating. You need a sealed environment where you can push high partial pressure, the ability to push high nute levels (hydro is best,) higher than normal temps, the ability to push oxygen to the root system, and light levels on the order of 1,500 (give or take) PPFD.

Thanks guys I figured you all could weigh in. I wasn’t dead set on it more trying to force it just to have something else to pimp my tent out and figured it wouldn’t hurt. I’ll spend the $ on something else actually useful and fine tune my grows. Thanks you all, I love this forum

Great idea. Cannabis grows just fine with normal CO2 levels. The best way to have a productive cannabis grow is to focus on the basics (pH, nute PPM levels, lighting, proper watering, and so on.)

You got some good advice above. If you dial everything in and keep plants happy you can get some amazing yields. Make sure you exchange the air volume in your tent frequently and you’ll grow some nice plants.

I shoot for 12 oz plants myself so when I do four in my space I can potentially produce 3 lbs of dried flower per grow. That’s plenty for my needs. And the needs of a lot of others too lol.

Damn yea that would be amazing. I’m just hoping to keep my plants alive until harvest and I’ll be happy :joy:. Figured co2 might help but yea it seems most don’t mess with it and I’ve seen the grows on this page and they are impressive without it. Thanks you guys.

Hi i use CO2 i make it my self out of yeast and sugar and molasses i put it in a two litre bottle it puts put enough CO2 in my tent to help my plants and this method has been tested and it does work its easy to make and cost a lot cheaper then buying a system ive done grows with out CO2 and i got good yeilds but since I started using CO2 ive been getting better yeilds and bigger plants whether or not it was due to the CO2 or because i switched to growing organically im still using CO2 now and i always will

How much of each do you use per 2 liter of water i assume thats what you use?

Ok i put two cups of sugar into the bottle and i put two tablespoons of molasses then i fill the bottle with luke warm water only to just under half way mark i shake the bottle to dissolve the sugar and molasses once done i put four sachets of yeast into the bottle then i put the lid on make sure u have a hole in ur lid i put four small holes now put ur hand over the lid and shake now hang it up in ur tent it takes a few minutes for the liquid to start bubbling to produce the the CO2
