When is it time to transplant seedlings?

Hi fellow growers, does this seedling look ready for transplant? Planted directly into soil on 7/9. So it’s been about 15 days.

I plan on transplanting into 15 gal pots, living soil, no till.

Something I did when transplanting was look at the bottom of the the solo cup if there are nice roots coming out of the holes u made at the bottoms then they’re ready also. If you see your leafs reaching over the side of the cups is another good way to know … does look ready to me

She looks ready.

You might want to plant her a bit lower into her final home, so about half of the main stalk is in the soil. Then she’ll be a bit shorter and can get more nodes/growth. The main stalk will eventually root as well.

:joy: best of luck to ya. I planted 5 seed pack of cereal milk by equilibrium genetics. 3/5 germinated. The other 2 are no where near the size of the one up there.

If it were me I would transplant and bury her up to the first set of leaves in her forever home. She looks happy and healthy growmie!

“ Bury her up to her neck.”

Oh sure, when I casually say this on the internet, cops show up looking for a victim… you say it and everyone assumes you’re talking gardening

In future grows use clear solo cup nestled in colored cups. This way you can inspect roots.

Great tip!!

Another tip i learned last grow is to split clear cup top to bottom so at transplant it opens up like a clam shell to make removeing plant for transplant much easier. ( see 1st pict in clear cup.)
