What soil do you recommend

Do I get ph and ppm in line right off the bat the bushdoctor is 5,000 and worm casting is 3,000 going to check ph now.

EWC (Casting) are not exactly a medium imo. It’s to be used along side a healthy soil. Coco loco is some good stuff! It’s not quite coco but definitely not soil. If u go that route. Make sure u find a good sensei to help with questions as most aren’t well equipped to help with it.

I’m a fan of Fox Farms products. Their soils are pretty good. Their nute lineups are more complicated then my tastes however. It’s about how u want to grow

So the coco-loco run off right out of the bag is 5’000 ppm do I flush it to get to 1’000

No don’t flush it. Start your seedling in it and water daily small amounts. Don’t let the medium dry back too much, this causes burns. Make sure your ph is in the range for coco.

Ive fallen in love with the Roots Organic Original. No Ph spikes or drops no flushing (using Jacks321) simple no issues at all. Dont have to feed till 4/6 weeks, basicly till flip. Oh ya the plants seem yo love it as well.

No flushing. That’s organically amended goodness.

I should have clarified that, I’m mixing the worm casting with the co-co bricks behind the bag 3 to 1 per the directions on the bag plus about 1 part perlite.

That looks like it’s worth a try. where did you get jacks 321. someone else said they used jacks 20-20-20 I don’t recall what soil they started with though.

That’s pure co-co and worm casting with a little perlite.

I got mine from Jacks direct. The soil i get off amazon.

I second @Audiofreak

Roots Organics Original is a game changer.

Use it with Jack’s 321 (123?)…magic!

Some grow shops sell Roots as well… I originally ordered it through Amazon… But it’s way cheaper for me locally (locally being 1.25 hours away).

Go with the Coco Loco, it’s my go to bag medium. I go in with a PH of 6.3 since it’s a blend. Super soft soft on seedlings and depending on your vessel size will feed the plants for approximately 4 weeks :love_you_gesture:

I’ve never had Coco loco that high. This was the PPMs on a slurry test straight from the bag :love_you_gesture:

Thanks for now I’m stuck inside but I 'm hoping by spring to build a greenhouse.

I just filled a solo cup with holes in the bottom and watered until i had enough run off to test ? That’s wrong huh I do like the stuff but I thought I could mix it down and that was wrong and I’m trying to reduce expenses and I’m getting burned.

So do you not feed until your run off get’s down around 1,000 ppm?

Exactly, once the PPMs dip to 800ish I feed at 800-1000 PPMs at 6.3 :love_you_gesture:
