Run off testing is generally done once the plant is old enough and that’s typically around the end of week 2 of veg after the 14 day seedling period. Either method will work but the slurry test is more accurate, I’ll use this to test bag medium or if my run off numbers are puzzling

I start our baby’s off in coco loco every season. It’s a fantastic basic growing medium. I have found great results with it.

Thanks for all the help I believe I’m getting the missing pieces and have a much better idea on where I got to go.
