Anyone growing in F.F. CocoLoco?

I’m looking for some advice from anyone that is or has experience in growing with Fox Farms CocoLoco. This medium seams to be very specific to its own. I’m in my 3rd run with it now and have some basic questions. How do they test run off, best ph to go with and feeding questions as well. Want to compare to my methods and see what I need to tweak or change. Any help from a someone that’s used it would be appreciated.

I’ve been using coco loco a lot over the last 3 years and hands down my go to bag medium. I slurry test the medium on new bags and typically get starting PPMs around 2500-2700. I use a PH of 6.3-6.5 with no uptake issues and start nutrients around week 5-6 or when the PPMs from the run off are less than 1000 :love_you_gesture:

I’m on my 3rd run and around the 5-6 week mark my run off is still in around 1,800-2,000. I only use RO water with Si and CalMag. I’m watering until I get runoff that fills my 12” plastic saucers up. Then use a shop vac to get rid of runoff after I test the Ph and PPM. Then I’ve been flushing at the 6 week mark to get my ppm down to start feeding. On my 1st run I started feeding at 6th week mark without flushing and burnt the plants. Few of my questions is, should I be watering with more runoff? Is it common to have such high ppm around 6 weeks in? Should I be flushing to get ppm down? I’m using 3 gallon fabric pots now. 1st run I used 5 gallon fabric pots but switched to 3 gallon ever since. I should also mention I’m growing auto flowers. Thank you for your reply.

I wouldn’t flush to get the PPMs down just use routine watering to run off practices. I use 3 gallon fabric pots and don’t count the first few weeks as seedlings use very little
Nutrients. I’m usually starting nutrients around week 6 and I flip my light schedule to flower around week 2. So I’m using feeding nutrients around week 4ish of flower :love_you_gesture:

These 2 tents are around week 2-3 of flower and I’m feeding at 800 PPMs. 3 gallon fab bags of coco loco.
2 week veg
2 weeks of flower transition
2 week flowering
Started feeding at 6 weeks

Gelato Auto in 3 gallon fab bag with coco loco and started feeding at the end of week 3 of flower after 4 weeks in veg

@OGIncognito I meant to also ask you if you ever have nute burn at the tips of leaves while in vege and or preflower before even feeding nutrients. I’ve only watered and added Calmag and Si. The Calmag does have a little nitrogen (1-0-0) in it but not much at all. Is the CocoLoco just a little rich and causing the top burn? Wanted to ask you opinion.

Yes I’ve had the leaf tips resemble these in the pic. Perfect painted nails, organic mediums and nutrients are tolerated more by the plant than synthetic fertilizer. Looking good Growmie :fire::fire::love_you_gesture:
