Indoor or outdoor? Could be deer also outside. But yes I agree with a rodent of some sort. Inside? Could be rodent, or a pissed off significant other/angry kid/or a beaver like @T-ray said slowly sabotaging your plant.

No way that’s a deer …
Had a deer eat mine before outdoors …
There would be nothing left…
It shredded my plant then went nuts in my yard…
Wish I had it on cam…
Damn thing tore up the yard hoof marks everywhere…
Was scratching the ground all up…

It was crazy…

That’s rodents for sure. Not to be offensive, but is this inside? I’d be relocating, if so.

If you catch whatever chewed that stalk up post a follow up. Do you have any glue pads? I’m with the mouse theory as a possibility.

In case it was mice wifey came up with this solution. She wrapped a piece of vet wrap around the wounded area. She then set out her special mouse peanut butter treat. Then I gave them a good shower of BT. This morning th

e plant was still wrapped and the treat was visited.

Just get the mouse trap out already…
A little cheese then whack…
Should only take a night…
Happy Growing…

Kill the mouse for Pete’s sake! You do not want a mouse indoors.
