Is it safe to use this stuff for chlorine removal? I have chloramine in my tap water so I treat it and let sit 24-48 hours.
Just let your tap water sit for 24/48 hours, the chlorine will vent off. No need to add anything to the water.
As far as I know yes chlorine will dissapate, Chloramine is very stable and will not just go away, needs to be filtered out by RO or chemical treated out.
@Bentstick Sorry gromie, that’s all I have for you. I use Distilled Water, solved all of my problems🤘.
I am on well water so no issue for me
Yeah that’s my issue is it’s chloramine, I mean I would assume it’s safe since a lot of people put aquatic plants in their tanks. Just didn’t know if anyone had some issue with it wanted to make sure before I watered my plant.
May want to consider it
For $4 you can treat 2,838 gallons. I’m not sure if you’re buying jugs but this would save you if you are.
I am removing chloramine because that’s what my city uses but if yours just has chlorine you will be able to treat even more.
I use hydroponic system and fill a 55 gallon container. I ph it to 6.0 and don’t have any issues with city water. I’ve never checked mine to see what all is in it. I’ve researched RO water and thought about getting that system or use a catch system and use rain water.
Do you use the water conditioner? Sorry I’m not sure if you responded to someone else, I’m new to the site.
No I’m sorry I got off track there. I don’t use a water conditioner.
I used it for my last grow. Many public water treatment plants have switched because of the stability. You are correct, if it didn’t work fish would die and people would trash the product reviews. I mixed 5 gallons at a time to make measurement easier since it’s designed for treating larger volumes of water. 16oz is enough for awhile for my 1-3 plant grows so I found it more convenient than buying distilled or an RO filter system.
I need help bro i am COMPLETELY NEW TO THIS!!! I just purchased a dwc kit lights snd outdoor green house. I went to mix my solution and it said 2ml per gallon of each and my water ppm came to 123ppm but i keep reading online it should be between 400ppm to 600ppm by 3rd to 4th week. So my question is do i just keep adding till i hit that range? Just even doses of each chem?? Pls help i never grew anything in my life and i dont want these bad boys to die on me.
Thank you!! I was waiting to hear from someone who has used this. I was thinking also the aquatic plants that people put in their tanks but I’m new so overthink a lot right now.
I put it in my fish tanks then water my plants with the tank water.
I take a gallon or two out every other day to water the first month after sprout. Then fill tank back up and add a little api.
Hey we will tag a couple of people who can help you be a successful grower @Low and or @MidwestGuy I’m sure can assist. These guys are awesome and filled with knowledge as well as many others on this forum. Good luck I’m following to gain knowledge as well
Thanks for the tag!
Maybe some dwc people? I don’t go too much lower than 700ppm at any point.
I think
Generally you just mix per instruction, if there is no particular order your nutrients have to be mixed keep mixing ratios appropriately by gallon until you get where you want to be.
@Eddie62189 what are you using for nutes? Im with Low, I don’t feed anything that low but you should just following the instructions.
But lets start with your nutes, what are you using, maybe someone else is running the same. And what do you have for a ppm meter?
Thanks for the tag @Low
Would be my advice as well. @Eddie62189 I feed at 800-1000 with a PH of 5.8-6.0 in my aeroponic or coco from day 1 through harvest
Somethings up that his mixture is only coming out to 123ppms.
Agree that’s my starting water source number
