Very weird plant with webbed top leaf, what to do?

First seedling sprouted on 3/18/20, so just starting week 3.

This is my first grow and one of my 3 plants (Amnesia fast) is having some trouble.
It’s not sprouting anything new from the center since the 1st node (but it’s growing tall).
One of the main top leaves is webbed and so it is blocking the node below.

Here are pictures.

yellow is all good node #1.
red is bad webbed leaf and sick node #1
black is no new center growth.

(my other 2 plants looking great!)

Thanks for all your help.

It looks to be a leaf mutation . I don’t think it will cause you any issues . The plant looks good !

But it’s not growing anything new from the center since the 1st node. See the black circle in the first picture. There is only one set of nodes. The other plants have started their 3rd nodes.

Yeah it’s deformed and weird looking . It’s kind of hard to see from those pictures . If you get achance can you take just one picture of the stem node area . Sometimes they mutate and do crazy stuff . I would let it grow for awhile and see if it doesn’t do something really nice , like a bush

It’s appears to be a genetic mutation where the plant has essentially self-topped. I wouldn’t worry about it. You are still getting healthy new growth.

From the top (up close) or a side view ?

Side view I guess .

The black circle look to be the center of a fan leaf . I don’t think you will see new growth from that area . I think that web leaf mutated and the plant freaked out and said I show you and made two new shoots to make up for the web leaf . Yup I’m stoned .

Here is close up top center with no new growth since 1st nodes.

I can’t wait to return the favor about July 4th and tell the leftover stalks of this mutant plant the same thing!

Since the mutant leaf is acting like a roof over the node below it on that side… what if I gently tuck the mutant leaf underneath the node below to expose it more light and get it healthier?

That’s pretty neat . Is the stem of the leaf is growing straight out of the node ? I think you could try tucking it but I would be concerned more about slowing down the plants growth and or stressing the plant more than it already is . Lets see what other have to say before you do anything . I would let it grow for awhile , when it’s a little bigger then do some training on it . I have seen buds grow out or the leafs center . images

Its just a freak let it grow awhile like ones said and see what she does

I would remove a leaf that was blocking light to a actual bud so it could fully develope . You don’t have buds yet . This was a self topping Gold Leaf that I got last year . It turned out ok . Let her grow . :sunglasses: c78baa70a6faecfa54448d3071f05cd60c9e7bfc_2_570x500 1a2d02f91de728f09410633a519ac61ed62c46be_2_666x500
