Is there anything I should be worried about with light green color in the center here? 1st time grower here. Strain is Amnesia Haze Auto
New grouth will start off lighter than the older leaves.
Looks fine
You got plenty of time to get panic attacks about other stuff
Well said, @Mr_Wormwood .
Welcome to the neighborhood @VirginiaGrowBoy . I am a first time grower too. You will find folks around here knowledgeable and respectful. Good luck!!
Never have truer words been spoken. Don’t worry, it gets easier. But yes, it looks 100% normal. Leaves on young plants are generally a confused mess. They’ll start off pale, they’ll grow out with a weird shape, they’ll only have 2-3 distinct “fingers”, etc. It’s all just the plant figuring it out. ![]()
I would ensure water pH on the deformed one.
Your first picture looks like it’s a mutant. (Variegation, I believe.) second one looks like pH or heat problems. But wait for a true set of
Leaves
That one looks a little funky but don’t go messing with it yet. Also it looks like you have an awful big wet spot for such a young plant. Overwatering can be a major setback and can even kill plants.
When planting a seedling into a large container only give it enough water for about 3 days. You dont want the medium to stay wet for a week.
Ayyye @Indicanna_Jones coming in clutch with the potential of over watering.

The fine folks here won’t let you fail
No really will come to your house and hold your hand growing it if we have to but the plant is going to live
I would definitely grow it out. Might be a slow grower at first but should eventually take off.
I joke but seriously, I’ve seen worse looking plants and the community here so stands behind you and takes a genuine interest in your grow almost as if it were their own
I see no reason your plant won’t pull through just fine unless you hit the genetic short straw and with that, it’s totally out of your control
Wormwood is right. If you wanna see some ugly plants, pop over to my thread and see the shape they’re in right now. My word of choice is “flaccid.”
It’s perfectly normal for plants to go through ugly phases once or twice or even twenty times while we work out the kinks in our grow.
Just keep an eye on her and let her grow. We’ll be here to help troubleshoot along the way.
