I did my first run with the Mars hydro 150 w I’m looking in the starting my second run but was thinking of upgrading the light… what brand should I go and how many watts try not to pay too much$

Here’s a good starting point for you.
Think about how much space and how many plants you intend to flower.
Lots of good info in there should get you pointed in the right direction.

What space or how many plants do you intend to grow?
There are 2 ways to look at it.
If growing multiple plants in a large area, shoot for a minimum of 40 watts per square foot. If you are growing a single plant in a closet, then shoot for a minimum of 200 watts.
There are a lot of scams out there. Stick to lights built with Samsung LM301 series diodes. HLG, AC Infinity, and Spider Farmer all have good options.

That is big enough for 1 plant. Shoot for a minimum of 200 watts of quality lighting mentioned above.
