To prune or not to prune, what would you do?

So I’m dealing with some crazy growth from a couple photos that I need to flip, like yesterday  First four pics below was 6 days ago, before and after. I pruned 'em figuring I’d give 'em a week to recover then flip the lights. As you can see from the last two pics from today, it almost looks like I didn’t prune at all.

I’m flipping the lights tonight, that’s a given.

What would you do? Prune some and hope it doesn’t have a negative effect? Let 'em ride, flip the lights, and wait until day 21? Last time I had things this crowded, I wound up with more larf than I care for   :v:

2 cents is more than enough. And I’m leaning that way too. I really don’t think one should stress 'em out going into transition. Thanks. :v:

Jawz-
I decided not to cut anything off this plant until the flip. I wanted every solar panel she had to power growth until flower. I usually do the snip here and there and then the 21 day major after the stretch but I think I will no longer be cutting anything until flower as I really like how big she got.
Couple of pics during veg and where she is right now.

I waited until the stretch was almost done and then “had” to do a defol.

That’s good perspective there, thanks for that. Looks like plenty of bud sights seeing sky even with the thick foliage. :v:

Yep when you have to , you have to . FatBastard is like that , defoliating from the get go . I actually don’t like to but like you said you “have” to , no choice .

Thanks! @MidwestGuy I’m think I’m getting close to being able to fill this 4 x 2 with 2 plants instead of 3. :victory_hand:
