Alright guys… is it time to flip them and start flowering?

Ok so I was curious when exactly I should flip these things. This is only my second grow, and I think this is around the time I did it last time.
So two questions, should I do some trimming on these and open them up a bunch, and let it kick it for a day or two and then flip? Do you not really want to trim much off once it actually starts flowering?
Or do they still have some time before I should flip them?
( I know they’re pretty full, I need to do some trimming either way, but how much realistically?)

Also, they were planted on may 19th, so literally almost two months ago exactly.

I flip when they are half the size I want them to end up, because they will at least double in hight when flipped. Looks like you are there or more. Very nice bushy plants, it personal preference on pulling leafs, I personally don’t pluck till two weeks into flower and again fifth week. You are doing great and hope you have a great rest of your grow  keep up the good work

I appreciate it! I think it would probably be a good idea to start the transition =P

I am on the same time schedule as you. Mine were planted on May 18th. I just pruned all of mine. I want the air to get into them real well so no mold showz up. Not only that, i worry about all that extra vegatation will eat up light and nutrients. I want the buds to get it all. I left alot of leaves but strategically removed the unessassary ones. They wont get you high anyhow…
Edit:
Oh herez a pic. I got a milk crate full of debris.

It’s time to flip. The stretch is going to fill er up. I’d do some defoliation at day 21 after the flip. Look good and healthy.

So would you avoid any defoliating right now as I flip it to flower?

I would flip as well. I defoliate lightly a day or two before flipping, 3 weeks into flower, and week 6 of flower.

Week 3 of flower is usually when I lollipop the plant. Week 6 quite heavy to allow extra light and airflow to the buds.

This is what i have read here on other threads. Its my train of thought on this also… send the juice to the fruits…

Defoilate , you don’t need all of that on there…

Beautiful plants nice even canopy Take into consideration the plants will double in size after flip. I would definitely clean up around the bottom of the plants for better access to watering and feeding.
Good luck :v:

I would clean them up some for air flow and light penetration and remove all the growth below the 3rd node, give them 3 days or so and flip. Nice looking ladies Grow Bro :love_you_gesture:

Good thing there is only two!

My plants doubled in size after the flip

So hard to move them. The buds get all stuck together when moving to water and such.

Lol these were the ones I got on my first grow.
I think these will probably end up just as big.

Ya. This my first grow. And I was surprised. Even though I was told before hand.

I would put a trellis in and drop it about 2 inches below the top of the canopy. That should give you enough play in the tallest tops to tuck them under the trellis and spread them out.

Clean up the bottom skirts. The fan leaves and branches where it’s obvious they won’t make it to the light and will just be larf in the end.

Give it two days to recover from the tucking and skirt clean up.

Flip tent to 12/12 and keep tucking the tallest branches outward to even up the canopy as much as possible.

Week 3 of flower take out the bottom third of the plant. All branches and fan leaves. You’ll have a mid layer of leaves the plant can consume in a pinch and during fade and the tops with those fan leaves and big ass buds.

My $.02
