To much defolialiting or ok

Well its late august here in ohio. So i decided to increase airflow , clip any yellow or bug bite leaves , any suckers and interior fan leaves. Ive always liked natural but. Focusing on main colas now. Is it to much? I could clone some of the suckes but im kind of working a lot right now. So ill just prune. Plants are about 4-6 ft in 5 gal pots

Looks good to me. As long as she stays healthy I don’t see the issue with defoliating.

Looks like you did a fine job without compromising the plant. Defoliating to increase airflow is always a valid reason.

Thanks for all the reassurance. I think they’re in full preflower mode. Its gunna be a photo finish if i can take to brown tric’s . Its the low 50s now and getting closer to fall equinox. Im sad to see them go. Been a long 4 and a half months now. But ill be relieved when i harvest, hopefully with no rot.

And 4 and a half months isnt that long but i brought 2 of them back from a pretty big problem of being more lime then jade. All 5 were kind of yellow green at 1 point. Last year i gave up because of that. Most clones worked last year just to die in quart pots. This year only 2 clones went the distance andvi gave 1 away. I thank fox farm trio for getting rid of the yellow. Kind of expensive and the trio pack i used might not be organic but i like ff big grow. It comes with 2 others. I even mix 1/8 big grow into what im giving in the flower time nutes.

Looks good to me. Ive got a question for you guys im new to outdoor growing and ive topped my plants on the main stem but i was womdering does anyone top the middle and lower branches also or does eberyone just let them grow on the own and tie them down?

@Stenny25 welcome to the forum. I saw you got an answer in another post. I top and train my branches to get an even canopy. Sometimes the side branches out grow the center after it has been topped…I top or train the taller ones back down to canopy level.

Good luck with your grow.

Cheers mate, I ended up only topping the main and the middle branches i just left the lower ones. Im not to worried if it gets taller im planning on pulling them back down and out to widen and thicken the canopy right up. Them i can thin the leave of later once in flower. Well thats the plan anyways. Haha
