hello beautiful people. 1st grow here, she is GG#4 autoflower, 67 days old today:
first time checking her trichomes (apologies if pictures are not of a very good quality):
question to the lovely community: is it cut down time? it’d go for a mix of amber and cloudy for the effect but I’m not very fuzzed, temperatures are gettting super high at the moment I have no AC in the tent so if its OK I’d probably cut her down within the next 3 to 7 days max.
thanks in advance for your support.

Plant looks great, check the trichs on the calyx’s , trichs on the sugar leaf will mature faster if I’m seeing it correctly I spot once calyx in a photo with a mix of clear and cloudy trich’s I’d wait until they all become cloudy. Harvesting with too many clear trich’s will you give you a racey type of high that’s not always enjoyable.

What are your temps in the tent? I would not cut that down in a few days. Give her 2 more weeks at least. You said 67 days old, how many days of flowering is what’s important. Most plants need at least 8 weeks of flower, and generally that’s on the low side. I’m typically at 10 weeks or so on average.

Agree with Shaggy. She still has alot of white hairs and not foxtailing. She is still stacking and fattening up. 2 more weeks will make a big difference.

I agree wait 2 weeks and reevaluate.

Many thanks guys. Yesterday the tent got up to 36C for a few hours, really hot, today a bit better (30ish) and it looks like its gonna be quite rainy around here for the next week or so, then we should have the good 25C ballpark again. Gave her a last quarter of liquid bloom organic fertilizer today:
And for the next 2 weeks will only give her distilled water, although she is really enjoying this food you reckon I should give it again in two waterings? I am watering 1L every 2 days, so next one pure, the next one with fertiliser?

I would probably give nutes another 2-3 times and then go water only. It’s all personal preference whether to flush or not. I have always went just water only last week to 10 days or so. It seems to be there’s not much clear evidence that flushing vs nutrients to the end change anything at all.
Thanks mate, really appreciate the advice. All things considered e.g. soil, ph and EC readings etc, it seems she likes food every second watering. I believe I overfed her in the recent past, but she bounced back after I skipped nutes once. So will give her only water the day after tomorrow, water with nutes in 4 days and so forth. Meanwhile I will keep checking those trichomes to make sure I don’t get more than half of them amber. Does it make sense?
Again, thanks for all the support everyone. Its amazing really to join this forum, been learning a lot from this 1st grow of mine, from the experience of the kind forum members that spare no words to provide guidance and support, and also been learning a lot by providing help whenever I read something that I recognise being something I have experienced myself, despite being very little so far. You’re doing a great job brother, just let her ride out a few more weeks and you will be happy. If you have some more hot days just try to keep the exhaust fan moving plenty of air and even unzip your tent a little during lights on. I would suggest investing In a cheap window unit a/c for future grows. Each grow you do will get easier and better, Im on my 4th grow now and this forum has helped me grow better buds with each go around.

Hello chaps sorry to bother you again. After 8 days thats what I got. We are looking at 10.7 weeks total, flowering probably for 6.7 to 7.7 weeks.
She is doing really well but her leaves are getting quite rough. I observed some had the symptoms of fungus gnarts which she does have, for a while now, and it got worse in the past few weeks (the yellow traps are showing me that) so I just dropped some nematodes today with the water and nutes. I been manually removing the leaves that look the worst, and the thing is, there aren’t that many left as you can see. Although I would like her to provide more relaxing/sleeping effects, would it be too risky to wait for another say 3-4 weeks, until at least 50% of trichomes turn amber? If not, a plan B that I derived would be to cure most of the buds so they “amber” in the jar. Many thanks guys.

I could see a few amber… Looks mostly cloudy.
It would be better to have pics with more magnification.
These work great:

I would say she might need another 3-4 weeks anyway. Theres still a lot of white hairs. Usually leaves turning colors and dieing is part of the ripening process. If its happening too fast its a nutrient or ph issue. Once those leaves turn yellow they wont recover. Sometimes the leaves will turn yellow or orange but not die. Like an old person getting grey hair.

Thank you, I got one exactly like that that I use for PCB soldering. I can’t get past a certain zoom level though as it gets very blurry. I’d say I’m at just above 70x and the little thing goes up to 1000x.

Thanks. Very good analogy

I agree with @plumbdand . You’ve got some more time yet, I wouldn’t remove any leaves unless they are dried up and crunchy. And fungus gnats aren’t that big of an issue, get some mosquito bits and water in that mixture and sticky traps about all you can do. What nutrient line are you using? It appears that you’ve been running the nutes low or they’re not cannabis specific and that’s why you’ve got so much yellowing so early.

You want check trichomes deep inside the buds, and in multiple locations. The trichomes on the sugar leaves can be deceiving they can start turning amber weeks before the plant is actually ready.

The main cola has some “faults” so I’ll start sticking the microscope there.

Thanks mate. I’m using a kit from what I believe is this German company’s new cannabis “easy peasy” organic veg and flower fertiliser. The market is booming here since they legalised cannabis on April 1st. Here is the link: COMPO GROW ORGANIC STARTERKIT
I have always used what they called Dosage 1 which is the minimum and I think it translates to 1/3. Max 3x a week as they recommend.
Maybe their language is too complicated that they need to type a lot to convey basic information, and end up forgetting the most important bits (you’d be surprised how often that happens over here LOL) such as the strength details. Since I could not spot that on their website I got the “flowering fertiliser” bottle in front of me and it reads:
N-P-K(+MgO+Na2O+SO3): 3.2-3.5-4.2(+1.1-0.6+1.5)
Because the water ph drops massively when I add this fertiliser, I am using an organic “ph-up” solution paired with a ph meter I make it to be around 6.5. It is consistent with the run-off measurements as well.
According to what I read so far, other growers are using flowering fertilisers way stronger than mine. You reckon I should up the dosage e.g., use the full “Dosage 3” which translates to a bottle cap’s worth?

It takes a lot of energy to produce those buds your plant is probably hungry. Do you have a ppm/ec meter
