I have a soil sensor, which seems to give sensible EC readings during watering only. The highest it measured was 2.1 EC which was when I broke the 1/3 strength rule and gave her half a bottle cap’s worth of food in her water. Within the next hours/days of that I noticed small burns on the tip of some leaves so I dialled down the feeding schedule back to 1/3 and also I skipped nutes twice. By that I mean that I normally give her 1L of water every 2 days, adding nutes everytime but since the 2.1 EC episode I done 2 waterings with no nutes, and I’m now adding nutes every other watering. Lastly, the average EC reading was around 1.4 before the 2.1 episode. Now it is reading really really low like 0.8, my guess is that I flushed lots of nutes when I watered twice with no nutes in the water.
Soil senser? If its the kind you stick in the soil they are very inaccurate.
This is the one I have
Morning brother, im not familiar with those nutrients, but the values seem pretty low. Is one part veg and one part flower? I can’t read German lol. I would be feeding full strength flower nutrients only. The slight burnt tips isn’t bad, that means you’re at a good nutrient level. I personally use roots organic soil and ocean forest soil half and half. When I transplant to 3-5 gallon fabric bags that soil has enough nutrients to last me through veg(4-6weeks). I then initiate 12/12 light schedule and introduce nutrients for flower. I’ve used fox farm trio a few times, but recently switched to jacks 321. And I run jacks at 4:2, not using any epsom. I’m on my 2nd grow using jacks. I also water to runoff every watering and check the runoff ppms and record all these numbers so I know if I can skip a feeding or not. If the runoff is over like 1400ppm then I can skip nutrients next water, if it’s under 1200 then by next watering i would assume that number dropped even more so I would just feed those. I also would recommend a ppm tester like @plumbdand linked above. The soil kind are unreliable. Attached are pics of my current grow, no nutrients for any yet, switched to 12/12 yesterday. 2 of the plants in 3 gallon bags are around 1300ppm the others in 3-5 gallon vary up to 2600ppm. So I’ll start feeding the 2 @1300 probably next water and monitor the rest until they drop low enough to feed. That routine has worked for me very good thus far.
@DEEPDIVERDAVE Looks cool.
I use this to stabilize the microscope.
Works great.

I repurposed a mic stand I bought years ago. Plus it gives the bud a rock star feeling “Ladies and gentlemen, I am delighted to present…the Fat Bud” singing with a microscope.
I’m back after a week, what do you guys reckon, another 2 weeks left? There are almost no leaves left I plucked a couple today as they are drying quickly and curling towards the buds.
Thanks again for your help.
