@Riskguy Thanks for bringing this up
@chicagodan I have been netting most plants outdoors as it helps in many ways. Wind, holding up the buds.
As for Auto’s I started growing them a few years back. They are definitely not for beginners in my opinion. Here’s a couple outdoor pics.
This is now.
Putting them out later has been a way to control height. What I mean is you pop them about 2 weeks before the solstice and then top once around the 1st of July. Keeps most every strain to under 5’.
I am doing this to a bunch of test seeds right now. Topping tonight and keeping the tops as clones incase they are standouts.
If you stick to plant counts you would worry about harvest. This allows a lot of budding plants to fit if you are growing out a lot of seeds.
That’s how it done folks!! You de man Brother ![]()

I tried doing a scrog outdoors a few years ago. My plants outgrew the netting so I put up another and it outgrew that one. Ive found for me its easier to supercrop or just bend them to grow horizontal as long long as I have the room. I use stakes and wires to tie them over and wires from overhead to support branches and colas when they get too heavy. I grow photos but have tried a few autos I won’t ever purposely grow an auto ever again. Some people who grow autos outside do it because you can start it outside earlier and harvest before fall weather causes mold and bud rot.
Hot damn… nice work! ![]()
