Are the spider farmer led lights built well or are they lacking on the quality of the overall assembly? I know they use moso or mean well drivers and Samsung/osram diodes but do the heat sinks work without any issues… being passive…
There’s several people here that use Spider farmer lights. Most of the people seem to be satisfied with them. I believe @Dankloud @DefNSmokn has spiderfarm lights.

I’m happy with my SF-2000. (But I’m happier with my HLG 260 XL Rspec)

I have 2 SF2000s and am eyeballing the SE7000 as well for my 4X4 and then would move the SF2000s to my new 3X3.
It drives that 4X4 pretty well but I want more at the edges and corners.
The SF2000s have been super solid.

@Bulldognuts I’m using 2x HLG QB288 v2 RSPECs. I started with a SpiderFarmer SF-1000D though. Not a bad light, but HLG is better, imo. They use top bin diodes. And their customer service is top notch. I’ve never heard of anyone having an issue with HLG.
I’m no light guru though, so take what I say about the actual lights themselves with a grain of salt. But that’s who I chose to support in the long run.

Is there any truth to the 2.5 g per watt the light claims?

These types of metrics assume ideal growing conditions which hobby growers don’t often achieve. Achieving it would require a lot of light, proper nute levels throughout the grow, grower experience, and so on.

I have a couple sf2000 and a sf7000 all are great lights I would like to have waited for the se version to come out I think they spread the light out a lot more. I’ve gotten over 1.5g/watt with the 2000s I haven’t had the 7000 as long so only have a few grows under it I’ve done over 1g/watt but should get better as I learn the light. Plus I grow all organic which will never get the yield you could get out of hydro or coco. I push more for quality and not quantity.
The first picture is not my picture it’s a grow from Nebulahaze the second is my closet grow I just don’t send my stuff to a lab and don’t have the numbers

For a 4x4 the choices are a Spyder Farmer SE 7000 around $800.
Or, four HLG 200 Diablos at 200w/per = 800, with ability to have remote driver. Cost $200 / fixture so $800 total. Dude discount get you to $720 with free shipping.

I’ve never come close to that with even better lights (HLG) so would not count on it.

Yeah , I agree 1.5 grams per watt would be more realistic and that’s with Quality lighting and also doing a lot of things right.
That claim of 2.5 g per watt is probably if you weigh the entire plant like the feds do when make a claim about a pot farm bust.

I have 2 in a 4x8. Pulled 4 and a half on my second run ever.
I have 2 versions of the SE7000
The edge diodes are bunched together for higher par and more even coverage

Thanks. Those ladies Stone Cold assassins lol. Had a run-in with aphids. neem oil, diatomaceous earth, and these ladies haven’t had too much of a problem since
