Thoughts on colour differences in clones all from same mum

Hi y’all I’m wondering what’s going on here, all taken same day & same mother. Is it the diff between top n bottom cuts?

Don’t worry too much about it as long as they root and survive it wont matter these all looked a little different all are doing well

Interesting thought to ponder @Spots

I read years ago about different looking clones of the same plant and it does indeed have to do with the location of the cutting taken.

I would trim back those large leaves by 1/3 to 1/2 while in the cloner.

Thanks, I usually do trim em, just noticed one of my last runs the clone with more foliage did really well. So I’m experimenting lol

Fascinating the two lite coloured lower cuts have shown roots first, the other one showed a couple hours after I took this morning pic

I agree. I usually pull from lower branches. Tops do better. This run is all tops. 10 and all probably will make it. Bottoms i get 80%. I just do a bunch.

I buy peat pellets, makes sense since my potting mix is peat based, zero nute burn in these, cheap, show me the roots. All 7 are happy growing in a small upsized container, grown since this last pic

They obviously work great too! One day I’ll get some and experiment a bit. My clone game is so so. Not my strongest canna skill lol.
