DownEast12 - Clone Zone

##July 11, 2017

So this is my first real attempt at cultivating some mothers indoors from cuttings taken from my outdoor pruning efforts over the weekend. That, by the way, is still incomplete (10 gallons of stems and leaf later)
The idea is to have something to fall back on should we sustain any damage from severe weather or pests. If everything outside stays on track and looks good come Sept-Oct I’ll donate the clones to someone local. I know I cannot support a 12 plant grow indoors so I’m limiting myself to 6.

Voila!

Waste for the chipper

Happy growing @Countryboyjvd1971 @daz49 @bobwags @bob31 @North_East_Newbie @Screwauger @Sl1 @Coltfire @Hogmaster & everyone else I missed.

Nice @Willd Looking good and great plan B planning. What are you rooting them in? What medium?

My first foray into clones … all clones except the tall one in the rear left … it’s tempting not to keep them going! Matthew420 is also growing out 3 of my clones :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

The obsession continues…welcome to indoor growing - great fallback !

Thanks sistah. Those look fabulous.
I couldn’t bring myself to just pitching all those cuttings. I remember in 2015 just leaving it all on the ground up in the field. Sharing the prosperity with @Matthew420 is a kind gesture.

Thanks John @Countryboyjvd1971. I’m just following the fine examples I’ve found as a member here. I’ve cloned houseplants, lilac, & rhododendron a few times, but this is my first time with the “peace plants”. That’s what we used to call them before cannabis was fully legal here.

The same ProMix BX I use for seedlings.
I will be feeding with a really diluted solution of Shultz Superthrive and GenHydro’s CaMa+
I can’t bring myself to use Alaska fish fertilizer inside. I mixed up a little pail and turned my back for 2 seconds to turn the water off. I turn back around to find superdog slurping away at it. ICK Talk about bad dog breath!

Once they appear to be establishing roots I’ll set a 14/10 light cycle to promote more growth beneath the dirt.

Well I like the name and my start referring to them as such hahahaha

@Sl1

Is that light on a rail?

It’s hanging from one of the top cross bars of the tent frame, if that’s what you mean?

@Sl1

I meant to ask if it is on a light mover but you answered my question. The one light covers all the plants ok?

@bobwags I have 3 300w LED in my 4 x 4, lights were off for the night - turned that one of for lighting to take the pic :sunglasses:

Don’t you need to put them in water so they don’t get air bubbles in the vein?

I don’t know what that means. I grow in soil. These things are already looking great.

They say that after you cut them you need to put them in water but I’m happy you got them working!

oh yeah cool they were in a bucket of water soon after I clipped it all. I pruned about 25 stems off the 12 of them. Had to use two 5 gallon buckets to hold the cuttings

So I re did the clone zone on the 13th since I never connected with @Sl1 to give her the fruity mix clones I started for her a few weeks ago. I gave those all to my stepdaughter and rooted 6 new Gold Leaf cuttings under 18/6 lights, but they continue to show signs of flowering. Is this normal?

I’m still not getting much luck with the clones so I couldn’t really say bro,but good luck with them, they should be able to change it back to veg easily,it was the gold leaf that I got a clone from and they do really well

Nice, oh crap I thought you and SI1 were able to connect.

Never grew GL before but I have 5 beans.

I think they will revert to veg but…not sure.

The GL makes for some ROBUST plants.
