Thanks going back to see that! My bad should have realized that myself.
It will be interesting to see if it makes a difference to the smoke.
hey, could be your lights are too weak. ViparSpectra or something equal?
@Cheesemaker, nah his equipment is on point.
Okay folks… the day of reckoning approacheth
In thinking about evaluating these different groupings, I wanted your feedback on how to go about rating them… what things are important to this experience?
I was thinking of a 3 point scale: 1-below average 2-average 3-exceptional (but maybe need to expand to 5 points to get a good spread) in the following categories:
-
Visual appeal
-
Smell
-
Flavor
-
Smoothness (what a word?)
-
Euphoria
What am I missing? What else would you like evaluated by the council of stoners in the court of nerds??
Are there logistical things I should consider?
I vote for the 5 point scale, I believe your categories are spot on.
Now get to testing, that cannabis ain’t gonna smoke itself!
I would go for the five point scale as well.
Really interested in this, will be harvesting in a few weeks and hope to achieve bag appeal (smell wise) for the first time.
Yu Da Man! @BlackShirt
Is there a volunteer list to help test put me in coach
Sounds about right to me
Awsome cant wait for results,
C’mon up to the southeast side of beer city in the mitten state. Follow the smell…ya can’t miss it!
Hell ya bro
Hell yeah that’s awesome project I’m all caught up and now dying to know how it does I’ve been told nout the washing by several ppl and watch vid on youtube guy doing it and the yuck left behind is crazy I’m gonna do it and see but would love to try this with mine when time comes thanks for the great forum and great journaling too lol
Yes to the wash, who wants to smoke bug poop and remains .
Room temp well water (mine is constant 6.4), wash station with H2O2 and one with clean water. Swish it around for a few then rinse. I lay out mine on the counter and use fan to wick away the extra moisture. Then hung up to dry after a few ahours and a few flips of the buds.
@Holmes The bacon aliens have returned?
Not too much to report … (it is called low and SLOW, after all)
When I jarred up what have become known as “the fridge nugs” the first time (6 days ago - after one week and one day in the fridge), I realized in short order that they were not ready. They were back in their respective paper bags in the fridge by nightfall.
Today marks two weeks since these buds were harvested. The fridge nugs are in jars. I checked on them just now (they’ve been jarred for a few hours now) to see how their humidity was holding up.
The smells out of those jars was incredible. On the very first one. Remember this is Strawberry cough … I said out loud (home alone, just me ‘n’ the pooch and she’s upstairs on the couch)
“this fu**ing smells like strawberries”
This is going to be fun. Need to set up the head-to-head matchups, make sure I don’t know which sample is which without totally botching the whole experiment by mixing up the jars, and - most importantly - make the decision of who gets to partake in the experiment with me … and who I have to leave out.
And I have to take clones and recalibrate my blumats and plant a couple of seeds and make dry ice hash and try fresh harvest cannabis oil and learn about black soldier fly larvae and turn my compost pile and finish reading about four books and I really just need about 3 years off of work to get caught up. Did I miss anything?
Umm, you sound like Ray Liotta in that stressful scene in Goodfellas!
Can’t wait for the final report.
Think I need to smoke a lefty and calm down…
I’ve got your back on the black soilder fly prioject, it be my honor and a pleasure brother, so excited, if all goes good this mean i can grow autos and harvest during summer time, hell yeah
