I’ve started a new grow in a bigger tent 3x3!
First time growing with promixhp and would like to document the journey as well as get some advice from growers I’ve met on here! @Storm @Auto-photo98, if you know anyone else please tag them all advice is taken! Now on to the grow! I planted 3 moonberry autos from tastebudz genetics! In 3g fabric pots with pro mix hp as the media, I’m using the cronks Autoflower nutrient line, as of today there 9 days from seed! My questions are with the pro mix how to water, do you let it dry back? Any advice is great appreciated
Ty for the tag. Here are a few. The ball will start rolling. @OGIncognito @MidwestGuy @kaptain3d @merlin44 @MedLifeCrisis @Oldguy @Caligurl . Everyone loves a grow. Good or bad. Many pictures…. Some of us, such as myself, are illiterate potheads.
I feel the same lol and I appreciate the tags @Serf if you have any advice I’d surly appreciate it! @Storm definitely have plenty of pictures as I’m trying out the new VIVOSUN c4 grow cam!
Yes, Promix should dry back between watering. I’ll tag you in my journal, I am exclusively in Promix. Run your ph at 5.9-6.1 and you will like Promix.
I’m already liking it these girls are already 2-3 times the size of my last grow this early in the cycle!
I started using promix HP with my clones and like it a lot. I have them in 3 gal pots and slightly underwater honestly because of time constraints. Ideally you’d feed to runoff or about 20% of your pot volume every 3-4 days. You do want a dry back of like 12-24 hours I think. I just watch my humidity in the tent now that they’re in flower and water the start of the light cycle after it drops. In veg I run them until I see the leaves droop and then water right away. Right now though you should avoid watering to soak until your plants foliage reach the edge of the pot. Instead water half a liter or less just outside the ring of foliage. This promotes root spread and will improve growth rate and future health. Also be sure to use like quarter strength feed or what’s recommended for seedlings.
Thank you I was curious about soaking the pot or just doing a ring around the leafs as I have been! There are a lot of miss conceptions about that, it’s always worked good for me but was unsure being a different media! I’ll attach better pictures too view in just a moment!
Yeah I’ve read to basically treat it like coco. The plant doesn’t really rely on the roots for water uptake early on and it’s easy to drown them. I think it’s more about forcing them to build a bigger network for future uptake and better structural support. So I’d guess it’s the same for everything but hydro.
@MedLifeCrisis this is from the top! And I would agree! Why change it if it isn’t broke!? #3 has some mutations waiting too see if she out grows it!
Looking good to me. Might give them a little more water a little less frequently with the leaves curling back but they’ll also just do that with some genetics and other environmental stuff I think.
Excellent choice with the Fast Buds
So you think there underwater? Or overwatered?
Tastebudz, but I’m planning a grow for fast buds as I’m an affiliate of there’s!
More just maybe not getting enough dry time between waterings. That’s how mine act when I water a little too frequently. Like I said though it’s normal and some genetics have more pronounced curling. Either way you’re close from the looks of it.
Just have to throw Humboldt Seed Company’s name out there. My current genetics from them are crazy. I would love to be an affiliate, that’s pretty dope.
Okay I’ll let the dry period be a little longer and see if that helps! I appreciate you!
Humbolts nice, there’s a lot of good genetics as far as autos! Tastebudz, fastbuds, aq, many many more
Here for the party… I like to watch.
