Sudden death? What happened?

On my first grow… in a 3x3 tent growing 3 WW autos, I was having trouble keeping my humidity up. This did the trick for me… I could go about 12 hours before needing refilled. I loved it has a humidity sensor so it cuts off when it reaches it’s setpoint. I ran about 65% through the entire veg stage and they seemed to enjoy it. I’m now on flowering week 2 and don’t need it on now.

Ugh! Apparently I made a rookie mistake. So I’ll be buying a new filter next grow… lol

Nice! You read my mind as I was planning on searching online for humidifiers today.

My 3x3 setup…

And my tent conditions through week 3 of veg, once I had the humidity dialed in. I have a home weather station that keeps the data, so I bought another sensor for it and put it in the tent. I’m a nerd for data and a tech geek as well, so…

And since my weather station has a cam, I had a spare cam I put in the tent, and then embed the conditions in the snapshots, to put a video together… lol

I doubt ilgm will replace seeds that you messed up. But I’ve never used them so others might know better.

@PharmerBob, I’m doing my best to do so. My light intake sucks air from the room, across the light and into the stairway to my basement. My fresh air intake is now ducted to the adjoin room and drawing air from there. I guess I should have updated my drawing.

Are you adding a light?

I would rather use my humidifier and just change my filter cover more often if I didn’t my humidity drops in the low thirties because I also run an air-conditioning unit to keep the heat from the 1000w HPS going too high

In this picture the light looks a little to close. On my seedlings I have that light dimmed all the way down and 24-30" above the seedlings.

I was thinking the same! Too close. A cheap lux meter will help dial in the light.

And if those are quantum boards, this should help…

Got one of these too… just to get a better idea of what my light is pulling from the wall.

Just make sure you run RO or distilled water through these ultraSonic humidifiers. If you don’t they can coat everything in your grow with a fine chalky film. I believe it’s the minerals coming out of the water. @desertpearl

I use this in my whole home humidifier, think this would be safe to use with the smaller unit in the tent.

That is the cleanest setup I have seen so far. Very easy for a novice like me to understand the setup. I have seen lots of mini fans in tents. I thought the fan up top (connected to the filter) was the only fan needed?

I also have a clip on oscillating fan to hit the canopies.

I’d would advise against it. That is listed as a treatment for evaporative humidifiers not ultrasonic
Here are the ingredients that would become air born in a ultrasonic unit
The ACTIVE INGREDIENTS:
n-Alkyl (60% C14, 30% C16, 5% C12, 5% C18) dimethyl benzyl ammonium chlorides … 1.125%, n-Akyl (68% C12, 32% C14) dimethyl ethylbenzyl ammonium chlorides … 1.125%
OTHER INGREDIENTS: 97.750%
TOTAL: 100.000%

I just used tap in mine. Woops. Didn’t notice much powder, but my tap is about 200ppms. So, I may want to look into bud washing more deeply now I guess.

Here’s a couple pics of my setup for reference and where I finally moved my filter for convenience. Also, I had that white powder covering my filter cover from the humidifier. What a mess it was cleaning it!

A small humidifier is really cheap. I blow a fan on it to keep it from going up and getting my lights wet. Sent mine from 20% up to 80 to 90% but I keep it around 50 or 60. Also my rigged up intake humidifier lmao. Seemed like a good idea.
