Please save my girls.
Starts off I don’t know how. Is a blemish where the branch joins the main stem, but sometimes just in an area on a stem. It grows and gets browner, not moist , the stem sometimes splits there. The branch dies. This is an outside grow, in 10 litre pails, 30 plants, 12 different strains. I have recently tried defoliating and bending over all the branches on a few plants and I have noted that it seems to be appearing on a few of the junctions of the main stem and branch. This may be a coincidence, I do not know.
Would anyone know what is causing this and how to stop it?
Looks almost like some kind of critter may be gnawing at them in
you think it could be birds?
That was my first thought as well but it seems odd that the damage is only at branch points.
I’m not positive. I don’t think birds really go for it much. Could be something at the root level, though. Looks like @merlin44 is chiming in though, and he has a good bit of plant knowledge.
Thanks for the vote of confidence but my knowledge is very limited as I have only grown indoors.
The next few pics changed my mind on critters.
Are any leaves dying off before the spots on the branch points appear? There are boring bugs that will cause damage like that, but again, it’s only at nodes, so I’m pretty stumped. Sorry I’m not any help here
That is a great question…the branches on many of the damaged nodes seem to be dead or dying.
Yes, there have been lots of yellowing leaves. I took that as a nitrogen deficiency.
This is zoomed in from one of your pics. I’m leaning more towards a root issue? Are you in living soil?
Edit, it was zoomed in til my photo editor undid that
Looks like tomatoes pith necrosis
I’m a rookie at growing canabis but I do well with tree and shrubs it looks like a root issue. Is all the damage on one side of the plant?
No it’s all over.
It’s all over?
No, I will be making my own later in the year.
The soil is Daltons Garden Mix New Zealand plus 20% Zoodoo which is composted zebra elephant giraffe etc compost
Yes, as in it is affecting a lot of them. Not all over most.
