Started a Moby Dick Auto grow in a 4 x 4 tent

June 13th

Dropped 7 Bruce Banner Autos in water glass on a heating pad. 6 of 7 showed taproots at 36 hours. Transferred seeds to Rapid Rooters in a domed propagation tray on top of a heating pad. I hung a 2’ Dual T5 fixture just above the dome. I’m using a spray bottle with 300ppm GH Flora Micro.
I am setup in a 4’ x 4’ tent with a 6 site Air-Cube bucket ebb and flow system using the fabric medium bags of hydroton in the 5gallon cube buckets. Water and nutes will be mixed and stored in a 25 gallon reservoir. Feed tubing is ¾” and the drain pump and tubing is ½ inch There is an 8” carbon filter and extraction fan venting to the outside. There is 2 active air inlets. ! 6” fan feeding 2 4” lines with 2 outlets each in the bottom of the tent. There is 2 - 4” lines feed by an 8” fan. These inlets are also augmented by a 5000 btu air conditioner feed. All 2 systems are controlled with Inkbird-608T controllers. Settings are static until the in tent grow actually starts.
June 19th
6 of the 7 seeds germinated in water actually germinated. All of the seeds received the same TLC. 3 of those 6 came out mutated. None of the 3 appear that they will survive. Pics to be attached. I dropped the last 3 seeds in water to germinate today. If all 3 make it I will have .
June 18
One of the seedlings died
Dropped 3 more Bruce Banner Auto seeds in water. I’m hoping to get 6 decent seedlings for the grow

June 20,
The 3 seeds were showing tap root. I placed the seeds in GH Rapid Rooters in the same tray as the seedlings
June 24
I dropped 7 Moby Dick Auto Fem seeds into a cup of water placed on a heating mat.

June 26
2 of the 3 Bruce Banner seeds sprouted. There are 2 good looking seedlings and 4 that don’t look so good

The 7 Moby Dick seeds were showing tails and I placed them in rapid rooters in a propagation tray w/dome on a heat mat. I put the 2 Bruce Banner seedlings in 3 gallon fabric pots with FF Ocean Forest soil in a 2 x 2 tent Put 2 seedling heat mats in the 2 x 2 because it is close to the AC register

June 29
All 7 MB seeds germinated and are now leggy little girls. I moved the 2 best Bruce Banner to a 2’ x 2’ tent I use for drying. The rooters were showing significant root growth coming out the sides and the bottoms of the rooter plugs

July 2,
Every Moby Dick seed sprouted but they stretched a lot even though they were in the same environment as the Bruce Banner seeds. I almost have one “damped off”
Because they stretched so much I want to get them in the system soon. I have to wait until they have good, health roots. They still have the cotyledons and a few have started putting on a 2nd set of true leaves Because the MD seedlings have stretched so much, I’m cutting some Rapid Rooters in half height wise, making a cut from the edge to the center hole and slipping that over those long legs before putting them in the system. I need to give them some support but it is more difficult with just hydroton, imho.

July 3,
I prepped a 25 gallon reservoir with General Hydroponics CaliMagic, FloraMicro, FloraBloom, and FloraGro to a 400ppm Ph 5.9. I used 2 times as much CalMag as each of the others
I flooded the buckets before moving the MD seedling rapid rooters to ensure I place the plug with the bottom half+ below the waterline. I set the feed cycle at 15 Minutes every 8 hours 3 times a day during the 18 hour light cycle

No defoliating needed on these plants Growmie. Trimming/defoliating is used to increase air flow and light penetration. I do a light trim right before flower then day 21 and 42 of flower. Plants are looking great :love_you_gesture:

I can’t add anything useful beyond what OG replied. I must have read the same guides that I did. Good luck with your grow and keep us posted.

Mine are 18 days old and I’ve been abusing them with LST.

I was wondering what the garden ties were attached to , zoomed in and saw fishing sinkers. Creative :+1:
