First time hydroponic grower need help

First time hydroponic grower looking to learn all that I can. I have a 24x24x48 grow tent. TopoLite Grow Tent Setup Complete Kit LED 300W Grow Light + 24"x24"x48" Dark Room + 4" Filter Exhaust Kit + Hydroponics Indoor Plants Growing System Accessories (24"x24"x48" Kit1.

I’m using auto flower seeds and rockwool.
I’ve done a fair amount of research and I’ve come to realize I’m going to need a larger tent or grow room to produce the yield I’m looking to attain. I want 1-2lb per harvest so any advice or recommendations on a setup that would work would also be greatly appreciated.

I have a 2x4x7 im doing 1 gorilla glue , are you planing to growing until harvest ?

If your planning to harvest I would do 1 indica since their are naturally short

Im no expert would wait for more advice , your tank is clear I don’t think roots like light , filter put it back in the bag only use until starts to smell(flower) , will last longer , and I think you need a water pump and a air pump for your tank , ph meter ph up ph down , you get the idea there’s a lot more you need to research . Good luck

1-2 pounds per harvest you would be looking more for something like a 4x4 tent with really good lighting.

The clear tote is gonna cause you problems. You can probably get away with wrapping it with the bubble type foil insulation used for duct work. Are you going for the Kratkey method? As motioned air pump/stones? How are you going to change out the tank each week? I would need more info on the type of system you are using. Like @dbrn32 said, you are gonna probably/definitely need a bigger tent for the yields that you are looking for and absolutely better lighting. Your lighting is/should be your most expensive purchase. I know that it was mine. Just my $ 0.02 :v:

Get a bigger tent. If you really manage your grow, and don’t get in too big of a hurry, longer veg time, you can grow one plant with a 4x4 screen and pull 2lbs.
Your final yield is dependent upon many things, size being up top.

Stop right now. Look at ‘Autopots’ and there are several folks using them here. @Not2SureYet found a great price on a 2 pot set on Amazon. @TDubWilly is using them too IIRC.

I’ve seen the equipment and the technology is sound. I have a full RDWC setup with chiller and gonna ditch it all for Autopots.

When did you make this decision? I didn’t know you were gonna do that lol.

I love DWC. I have nothing but good things to say about it… but I like autopots better lol.

I don’t believe they grow better plants but the growing experience is easier and more “hands off” than DWC.

I think you’ll enjoy them @Myfriendis410… sounds like @Not2SureYet can talk you into anything lol

I will be starting out with a clean slate in a utility/storage room in the basement of our house build. Thinking that the autopots would be an easy thing to load into whatever grow space I occupy there. Chiller and dehumidifier and R/O may all be unnecessary there.

Welcome to the forum @Skywalker201. If you are looking for those yields. You will and a good sized tent. I get in the 12oz range per plant with a 30" x 30" area. So I would say a 5x5 tent minimum would be needed. It may be possible to run 3 plants in a 4x4. But you would be safer in a 5x5. Just my 02.
I bought 4 of another brand of autos pots for 300.00 I then saw these below and am trying the. So far. They see every bit as good as the more expensive ones I have.
@TDubWilly, I only showed him this time lol Seedplanter turned me on to these and I am glad. It is making growing a lot easier for me right now. I will really appreciate them once summer is here. I still plan on top feeding a few. Other wise. I may forget how to grow LOL

Hey, I just figured if you were silly enough to ditch dwc for autopot I would try my luck haha.

I’m thinking my first grow in Colorado will be with autopots. If I don’t like em I can add that tech to my current boneyard lol.

I don’t use mine with autopots

Man, the really great thing about them is how easy you can add. If you wanna add 3 more plants it’s so easy to do it.

I would just say to start work make sure you hey yourself a nice size reservoir. 25 gallons or larger. The bigger the res obviously the easier it is to add more plants
