Solitary spider mite?

Spotted this little critter on the underside of one of my leaves. Any ideas, I have only found one so far

Hard to say exactly what it is but if it is a spider mite I doubt it’s alone. Start treating now. Captain jacks dead bug seems to be a popular choice around here.

I was thinking the same. Experience tells me that these critters usually come mob handed. I do have spinosad there and I’m lucky in I only have one plant just now, the rest are seedlings in a seperate area

Looks like we have a matching pair of beasties @Neubuds. I am around 18 days into flowering and gave them a blast of Spinosad last night. Be careful if you’re going to spray in your room though as the spray will cause your bulb to burst if the spray hits it. Not sure what else I can use during flowering either. Maybe some of the learned collective can advise. I need something to fumigate my tent with after this grow, ideas anyone

I’ve never had to deal with mites (knock on wood) but I’ve read a lot of people on here use a peroxide mix and alternate with captain jacks or Spinosad every 3 days. Do a search of the forum and you’ll find tons of info.

Release predator bugs

They will take care of the infestation then die off or leave after there’s no bugs left for them to eat

@Watt-Sun, I am in mid search as we speak. Captain Jack’s was flagged up already. I’m also reading about fogging my tent as well using a sulphur burner. Not sure if that’s a viable option at the moment though. But you’re right, there’s a mountain of info out there. I have one plant in there just now so it’s not an issue to blast these critters with the right stuff

I hear you, I’m weeks away from harvest and very conscious of chemicals. I run my greenhouse 100% organic, my indoor garden is the same. I need something to treat my empty tent with, ideally organic, before my next batch of seedlings goes in. I have time yet so research and input from you guys is key to a successful outcome

@Watt-Sun yeah that’s what I was thinking but there where a few of them, all really small spider looking things @Davyg ill put some photos of the damage I think there doing. I have gave them a light spray in dish soap diluted in water I read up a little last night on the page I’d rather smoke that than raid or any other hard pesticides as long as it doesn’t kill my baby’s and keeps the bugs away I’m happy… Any suggestions?

Im not sure this is a mite.
It looks more like an actual spider. Mites dont have segmented bodies.

@Spiney_norman could you please tell me if the damage on the leaves look like mites or is it a bit to much, like it’s chunks taken out of the leaves… fingers crossed I’m wrong about the whole thing and just freaking out :crossed_fingers:
