Spidermite or something else?

I ordered some Mammoth Canncontrol. Never had to deal with these before any tips or product advice is welcome.

A lot of growers use Capt Jacks Deadbug. It is safe to use during flowering.

Any idea what the critters are?

I’ve never had bugs, but there are plenty of growers here that will chime in with good advice.

Looks like original hypothesis was correct. Time to add IPM to the routine. Risk you run when you take in clones. dammit.

Welcome to the growmunity @HobbyDobby looks like you have a type of spider mite. Jacks Dead Bug and then rotate with an organic insecticidal soap.

Flame thrower, and an excorcism. Looks like spider mites. Toughest creatures on the planet.

Thanks @ChittyChittyBangin. I have some Jacks Dead Bug on the way, also some mammoth canncontrol. I picked up some of what the guy at the grow shop had which was his own recipe and used that last night. I didn’t want the mites to have another half week to establish themselves so used what I could get immediately.

Scoped a few leaves this morning after treating the plants last night. I see some dead ones, but just as many live ones and some eggs. Seriously considering bagging the plants in that tent.

I also scoped leaves from the flower tent and found nothing.

I have clones of the moms I’m contemplating bagging. What would ya’ll do?

Id try to eradicate before i started bagging…

I can appreciate that. I kind of want to go to war with them but the stakes were too high.

Here’s what factored in to my decision to stuff the Mac N Jack moms into contractor bags, tie them tight, and yeet them into the trash cans outside.

  1. I have clones of them before the infestation became apparent. I’ve taken a look at those and see no signs of infestation. They are in an aero cloning bucket so no soil contamination either.

  2. I have a tent that is about 4 days into flower, and I won’t be able to be as aggressive with those should the infestation spread.

  3. I don’t want to take a shower and change clothes each time I go from closet to closet doing stuff. (watering/feeding/etc).

  4. The infestation was progressing faster than I would have imagined it would. Even after treating last night the progression was super obvious. Almost every leaf had at least some. Some dead, some very alive.

I’m going to be more vigilant with IPM. My house is surrounded by bushes and every year they get covered in webs. I had assumed they were just regular ass spiders, but now I think they’re probably mites.

Also going to bleach that tent tonight, and keep it empty for 2 weeks before putting anything back in there.

Mine too, but shop is away from the house. I treat around my shop and around the doors going i to my rooms.

The Mac N Jacks will live on. 6 of the 8 clones made good roots.

Other two that havn’t are still in the bucket, but I’ll probably pull those soon. The others are clones of the cinnamons I have flowering. Keeping the best and will hunt more of those later.

I’m using both and rotating until I’m sure everything is dead and the cycle is completely broken.

What pests were/are you fighting?
