Slowly Growing Seedlings

One Week Old Seedlings and I think I made some mistakes. I feel I initially planted them with too much water and there were times the humidity got up about 95%. They seem happier with the domes on top but I’ve taken them off hoping the direct light will be better. I also feel the light was too high and set on a low setting so I’ve moved the light and increased the intensity. I am a super over thinker so maybe I’m taking all the love and fun out of it but some wise words would be greatly appreciated.

Smart move on the light change. Maybe get the Photone app for a little help.
Also fill those cups up with your medium to help support and encourage root growth :green_heart::metal:t2::cowboy_hat_face:
Nice start :+1:t2:

Make sure you have holes in the cups too if you haven’t.
Not seeing any in the pics.

Fill cups with dirt to the rim (adding support to stalk).
Mine were slow seedlings (temp too cool).
Mine are looking great now, just slow.
Your seedlings are past dome time.
Do not water for a week or two.

Good growing to you.

Holes in clear solo cups (as advised) is good.
4-5 small enough to drain excess water.
Obtain equal number of Red Solo cups for inserting your clear cups (block light from developing root zone).
Referring to the 3-seedling picture above, add some more topping to the cups on the stretch stalky seedlings (support).
Do not water is moisture is apparent in the clear solo cups sides.
Seedling often appear slow growing while roots are being developed.

Kind of amazing how they just explode in growth at some point. First pic is at 9 days post germination. Second is only 10 days later (this was under the cup). Starting 5th node already.

Looks like she could use a bigger grow container.
Are you planning for larger container?
Were there two seedlings in first picture (above 10day picture)?
Now is the time to separate them, if desired.

Hey DeepDiverDave. That is only one plant, I already sacrificed the other one some time ago. I typically pop an extra one “just in case” and cull one. Those are 3gal air pots and I grow in coco/perlite and fertigate. I use 3 or 5 gallon based on the plants I’m growing. The 3 gal ones have served me very well for smaller varieties. I was really just trying to show you don’t need to fret too much about early growth, once they take off you see a change every time you open the tent!

Happy growing! :man_farmer:

Heyy Guyys The Girls Are Officiallyy 1 Month but theyy are grumpyy… I pulled some bad leaves off nd added calmag to see if there was a deficiencyy but theyy are still gumpyy… maybe this is lightburn or the plants just stressed from transplant?

RH is around 75 to 83 and temps are 75F to 81F… PPFD is around 920 to 960…

Looking at your tent equipment, I had the following thoughts.:

  1. My seedling are cool and slow growing (cold environment, even in
summer). Reason Garage concrete floor is cold. My tents are on the 2inch pink foam insulation boards.

  2. Cool air exhausting from floor is less efficient that exhausting hot air from
    top of tent.

I havent connected the exhaust fan yet its just sitting on the floor… im connecting it soon but didnt see a need for it so earlyy and you think my tents too cold nd wet?

Be easy just throwing nutes at them. They are tough :green_heart::metal:t2:
